After all, the best part of any trip is the food, right?

🧧 A Grand, Eye-Catching Landmark in Chinatown

Walking down the main street of Incheon Chinatown,
you absolutely cannot miss this massive, majestic building!
Thanks to its grand, palace-like design,
even first-timers can spot it from miles away. It is incredibly flashy and beautiful! lol

Because it’s been featured on numerous TV shows and media outlets,
our whole family had super high expectations before stepping inside.
Visiting on the Weekend: Is the Wait Long? ❓❗️
To answer the biggest question right off the bat:
During weekend lunch and dinner peak hours, expect a queue! ⭐️

We visited for a Saturday family dinner and only had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes.
Since there were 6 of us, we were guided to the 4th floor, which seems to be reserved for larger groups.
🍻 Perfect Pairings: Sharing Dishes with Baijiu

White Jajangmyeon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ~$6
Samseon Abalone Jjamppong ⠀⠀ ~$8
Sichuan-style Tray Jajangmyeon ⠀⠀ ~$16
Palbochae (Eight Treasures) ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ~$24
Yangjangpi (Seafood Salad) ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ~$22
Pungmi Gaji (Crispy Eggplant) ⠀⠀⠀ ~$18
Chili Shrimp (7 pcs) ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ~$26
Pork Xiaolongbao ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ~$6
Shrimp Xiaolongbao ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ~$6

Since we had a large group, we ordered a massive variety of dishes!
And since my family loves a good drink, we paired everything with traditional Chinese Baijiu (high-proof liquor).💛
As you know, rich Chinese food pairs incredibly well with strong spirits!

We started with the Pork Xiaolongbao and Shrimp Xiaolongbao.
Ordered these to wake up our tastebuds, and they were burst-in-your-mouth juicy!
A solid, light appetizer to kick off the feast.

Next up is one of Yeongyeong's highly recommended specialties:
Pungmi Gaji (Crispy Garlic Eggplant)! It’s crispy on the outside, incredibly soft on the inside, and packed with savory flavor.
However, if you aren't a fan of eggplant, you might want to skip this one. ^^

My personal number one pick was the Yangjangpi (Seafood Salad)!
I already love this dish, and Yeongyeong completely blew me away.
It was loaded with fresh seafood and crisp vegetables,
and that punchy, sinus-clearing mustard sauce was the perfect kick!

Of course, you can't go wrong with Chili Shrimp. 🍤
They offer 4-piece and 7-piece options,
and while it was absolutely delicious, it did feel a tad overpriced for the portion size. 😢
(Just my personal opinion!)

And my second favorite: Palbochae (Eight Treasure Seafood)!
I had heard the name so many times but had never actually tried it before.
Oh my goodness... it was absolutely delicious!
The rich, savory sauce coated a generous mix of fresh seafood,
and washing it down with Baijiu cut right through the richness.
Just looking at this photo makes my mouth water again...🤤

With all the main dishes served, cheers!
They truly were the perfect companions for a strong Chinese spirit. 🥰

If you enjoy spirits, I highly recommend ordering
at least one rich, savory dish to pair with Baijiu when you visit Yeongyeong. 👍
Everything we ordered was so good that I honestly recommend all of them!
Signature White Jajangmyeon 🥢 The Grand Finale

The legendary signature: White Jajangmyeon 🤍
Unlike the usual black bean paste noodle, this has a light, golden-brown look.
It was my first time seeing anything like it, and the visual was so unique!

This was my father-in-law's choice, but I stole a bite.
It's not overly salty or strong—instead, it has a wonderfully nutty, savory, and clean flavor!
Because the onions and meat are finely minced,
it almost reminded me of a light, comforting Hayashi rice sauce.

In perfect contrast to the white version was the Sichuan-style Tray Jajangmyeon.
While the white jajangmyeon is mild and clean,
this Sichuan version brought a beautiful, fiery kick to the table.

Finally, the ultimate palate cleanser: Samseon Abalone Jjamppong ❤️🔥
We all gasped when we saw the massive, whole abalone sitting proudly on top!
The broth was incredibly deep, spicy, and packed with seafood flavor.
It completely cleared away any heaviness from the meal and instantly sobered us up from the Baijiu! Outstanding.

Sharing delicious food and strong drinks with my family in such an exotic, lively setting made for an unforgettable memory.
If you’re planning a trip to Incheon Chinatown,
