While searching for a unique place to stay in Incheon, I booked a room at Yeobaek Hotel, located in Seo-gu.

When reading the reviews, I noticed so many people praising the super-friendly owner and staff just as much as the beautiful design, which made me really curious to experience it myself.

From the cozy room vibes to the thoughtful service and breakfast, everything was absolutely wonderful. Let me introduce you to Yeobaek Hotel, Incheon’s ultimate aesthetic stay.

Getting There & Parking

It's located about an 8-minute walk from Seongnam Station, making it super easy to visit using public transit.

There's a free parking lot right next to the hotel. I called ahead to check availability, and since it was a weekday evening, there were plenty of spots, so parking was a breeze. When I arrived, the owner even came outside to help guide my car in!

If the lot is full, they will guide you to alternative parking nearby, so you won’t have to worry too much if you give them a quick call beforehand.

The Exterior & Surrounding Vibes

When I first entered the neighborhood where the hotel is located, I was a bit startled because there were so many local motels nearby—I briefly wondered if I’d booked the wrong place!

But the moment I pulled up to Yeobaek Hotel, all my worries completely vanished.

Its sleek, clean exterior was a stark and lovely contrast to the surrounding buildings, and the giant decorative ribbon on the facade made it stand out as a beautifully unique gem in the neighborhood.

The 1st-Floor Lobby & B1 Healing Lounge

The lobby lounge on the first floor was stocked with a wonderful variety of light snacks, including a coffee machine, teas, cookies, and cereal.

They also have a microwave and laundry washing machines, which would be incredibly convenient for long-term travelers or business trips.

The owner highly recommended trying the coffee, saying it was delicious. So, I made a point of going down to the first floor in the morning to brew a cup, and wow, it really was amazing!

I loved it so much that I even grabbed another cup to go when checking out.

Down in the basement, there’s a gorgeous "Healing Lounge." Cozy armchairs, sofas, a selection of books, and vintage-style audio gear are spread throughout the room. It's beautifully designed, complete with a massive projector screen where you can sit back and watch movies.

The "Yeoun" Room: My Cozy Sanctuary

The room I stayed in was called "Yeoun." The moment I walked in, I fell in love with the warm, wood-toned interior, and the bedding was so plush and snug that I had an amazing night's sleep. Even though there were guests next door, I barely heard a peep—the soundproofing was excellent!

The large window flooded the room with natural light, and the view of the green ivy climbing outside added an unexpectedly beautiful, poetic touch.

While the bathroom was on the smaller side, it was absolutely spotless. The Geneva Guild shampoo, conditioner, and body wash had a lovely, subtle scent. Plus, knowing they don't use refilled bottles made the whole setup feel much cleaner and more hygienic.

While relaxing, I happened to stumble upon a turntable and some vinyl records (LPs).

Even though I work on computers, I'm surprisingly bad with gadgets, so I struggled for quite a while to figure out how to use it. With a little help from ChatGPT, I finally managed to put on some Chet Baker. Listening to the music in that quiet room turned out to be the moment during this business trip that felt most like a real vacation.

Opening the fridge, I was pleasantly surprised to find it generously stocked with Evian water, soft drinks, and even cup ramen. Given that the first-floor lobby was already packed with snacks, the owner's generosity is truly next-level!

On the table, there was a guestbook and some colored pencils where travelers could freely write or draw.

Reading through the little doodles and notes left by previous travelers made me think about writing a few lines myself... but being the introvert that I am, I just admired them and closed the book.

At 7:30 AM, they leave a breakfast basket right outside your room. Opening the door to find it was such a heartwarming moment!

That morning, it was packed with a giant croissant sandwich, yogurt, juice, and fresh cherries, all thoughtfully prepared for a perfect, hearty start to the day.

The breakfast menu changes with the seasons, and I heard they even serve homemade soup during the winter!

There were more room types than I expected! From cozy rooms for two to spacious accommodations holding up to six guests, some options even feature private terraces and jacuzzis. It’s perfect not just for couples, but also for families or groups of friends. The "Yeoun" room I chose is a cozy space designed for two.

What I loved about this place

• ​From the guest rooms to the lounge, the entire property is absolutely beautiful and filled with cozy, aesthetic vibes.

• The host and staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel so warmly welcomed throughout my entire stay.

• They had thoughtfully prepared a hearty breakfast basket, a variety of snacks, and even delicious coffee.

Good to know before you go

• ​There’s no elevator, but it wasn't an issue at all—the host personally carried my luggage up when I checked in, and the staff helped me bring it down when I checked out!

• While the room windows don't open, there is a large ventilation fan on the ceiling, so the room never felt stuffy or close.
