I'd heard that September and October in Xi'an offer cool and pleasant weather, making them ideal for travel.

While it might be a bit chilly if you only wear a short-sleeved shirt,

if you layer a light cardigan over a short-sleeved top or wear a long-sleeved shirt, it's perfect weather for exploring sights without needing a heavy coat.

However, unexpected rain showers can occur,

so I recommend carrying a lightweight umbrella.

How to Make the Most of Your 3-Night, 4-Day Xi'an, China Trip?

Day 1

Xi'an Airport → De Fa Chang Dumpling Restaurant (Lunch) → Xi'an City Wall → Xi'an Museum & Small Wild Goose Pagoda → Muslim Quarter → Hotel

Departing from Incheon Airport in the morning,

we arrived in Xi'an around lunchtime.

So, for an immediate taste of Xi'an upon arrival,

we headed to the popular handmade dumpling restaurant, De Fa Chang Dumpling Restaurant.

One bite was all it took to know these were truly handmade dumplings,

and we kicked off our Xi'an adventure by savoring a variety of dumplings filled with different ingredients.

After a hearty lunch, our next stop was

to explore the Xi'an City Wall, the largest existing ancient city wall in China.

It’s fantastic for cycling around,

and you can even catch a glimpse of the trendy 'Wanghong' (internet celebrity) experiences popular with Gen Z,

making it a truly memorable spot!

Our next destinations were the Xi'an Museum, where you can delve into artifacts and history from the Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties,

and the enormous Small Wild Goose Pagoda (despite its name!), which was built to house the Buddhist scriptures brought back by Tang Dynasty monks.

After a packed day of exploring various spots right after our arrival,

we wrapped up our first day in the vibrant Muslim Quarter.

Arriving in the evening, we enjoyed the dazzling display of colorful signboards,

sampled must-try local Xi'an delicacies,

and even picked up some souvenirs – it was fantastic!

Day 2

Hotel → Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor + Underground Palace → Terracotta Army → Lunch (Biangbiang Noodles) → Huaqing Palace → Silk Road Show → Xingjiao Temple → Dinner (Peking Duck) → North Square of Giant Wild Goose Pagoda + Fountain Show → Grand Tang Everbright City (Night View) → Hotel

Day two featured the part of my Xi'an trip I was most excited about:

visiting the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor and the Terracotta Army.

Our first stop was the Underground Palace Exhibition Hall of the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor.

This is where the unexcavated underground palace of Emperor Qin Shi Huang

is recreated based on conjecture, you know?

I honestly didn't have high expectations, but I was surprised by how incredibly well it was put together,

so personally, I think it's a perfect complement to seeing the Mausoleum itself!

After visiting the Underground Palace Exhibition Hall, we drove 15 minutes to the

Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, where it was wonderful to take an electric cart

and tour the entire tomb complex!

Our next destination was the very reason I decided to embark on this Xi'an trip:

to finally see the Terracotta Army!

Ever since I studied Chinese history in school,

seeing the Terracotta Army had been a dream of mine.✨️

It was so much grander than what you see in books, and it was amazing to think that excavations and restorations are still ongoing!

After exploring the Terracotta Army, it was already lunchtime.

So we headed for lunch, and the menu was Biangbiang Mian!

When you think of traveling in China, you might only think of spicy mala dishes or lamb skewers, and I probably would have focused on those myself.

But thanks to our exclusive "Unrivaled Journey" package, I got to try something you absolutely must eat when visiting Xi'an:

the famous local specialty representing Shaanxi Province.

It was wonderful to taste Biangbiang Mian!

Next up was the legendary imperial concubine, Yang Guifei, a name no one could forget!

We also visited Huaqing Palace, a relaxing hot spring resort steeped in history and romance,

where the love story of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Yang Guifei unfolded.

After that, we witnessed the magnificent and grand

Silk Road Show. Since we used the package, we got to watch it from VVIP seats.

I can't reveal too many details about the show because you truly need to experience it for yourself, but

if you're heading to Xi'an, I wholeheartedly recommend you make time to see it!

Next, we visited Daxingshan Temple, Xi'an's oldest Buddhist temple.

For dinner, we had the dish that first comes to mind when you think of Chinese cuisine:

Peking Duck! With its crispy skin and tender meat,

we enjoyed it wrapped in pancakes.

After that, we immediately headed to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda North Square to catch the fountain show.

We watched the amazing fountain show, and thanks to our guide's insider tips,

we snagged a prime spot to enjoy the spectacle!

Afterward, we strolled through the beautiful streets of Xi'an.

Its stunning nightscapes left such an impression, they made me want to return to Xi'an again and again.

We saw magnificent Tang Dynasty architecture illuminated by dazzling lights at

Grand Tang Everbright City, where we also enjoyed some souvenir shopping amidst the vibrant atmosphere.

Day two ended as another truly satisfying day.

Day 3

Mount Huashan (West Peak IN ➡️ North Peak OUT)→ Full Body Massage→ Dinner (Lamb Skewers)→ Hotel

I'm not a big fan of exercise, and I don't particularly enjoy hiking,

but trust me, if you come to Xi'an and don't visit Mount Huashan, it feels like you're missing out on something truly essential!

If you book the 'Unrivaled Journey' Xi'an package,

you can hike the West Peak IN ➡️ North Peak OUT route.

The views from the West Peak

and the panoramas as you trek from the West Peak to the North Peak are equally breathtaking.

So, that's why I really think you must visit Mount Huashan if you're traveling to Xi'an!

After a hike, you need to relax and recover, right?

The Xi'an package included a massage,

which was perfect for relieving the fatigue from climbing!

And for dinner, we enjoyed lamb skewers at a local favorite restaurant.

We wrapped up with Chaji Milk Tea for a sweet ending.

Day three was also a perfect day.

Day 4 Forest of Stone Tablets Museum→ Airport

On our last day, before heading to the airport, we stopped by the Forest of Stone Tablets Museum.

This museum, housed in a temple built during the Song Dynasty,

is said to contain over a thousand rare steles.

It was truly magnificent, inspiring awe with every turn.

Our final stop was incredibly enriching, making sure every moment of our trip was worthwhile.

🏠 What was the accommodation like on the Xi'an package?

As expected from a 5-star hotel, the room condition was excellent,

and the breakfast was incredibly satisfying.

✈️Review: Xi'an, China Travel Package

Thanks to this, on the day we visited Huashan, we realized going all the way to Xingjiao Temple might be too exhausting,

If you're planning an independent trip to China,

the travel time alone and the sheer number of apps you need to prepare for can be a real headache.

But by using the Xi'an package, I found that during the trip,

there was very little to worry about, which was fantastic.
