Lately, because of Whitelier's Chocolate Bread,

Whitelier is getting super popular again!

For a while, my craving for Whitelier bread faded,

but now it's back again...🤤

Now that Whitelier's chocolate bread is out,

I can't even imagine going back and waiting in line...

So, I'll share my review of my previous visit to

Whitelier Gangneung Branch

in Gyo-dong, Gangneung*!*

01 Sold Out After Work

Whitelier was once dubbed the 'Hermès of bread' and was incredibly popular.

I thought the buzz had died down a bit,

so I figured I could pick some up after work, but it was all sold out..

Realizing it was still super popular,

I revisited the next day during that awkward lunch hour. ^_ㅠ

Like most Whitelier stores,

the Whitelier Gangneung branch isn't huge,

but customers kept pouring in, making it clear

that it's still incredibly popular.

I bet the waiting line is absolutely massive again now

because of the chocolate bread..!

Whitelier bread prices vary by size:

Half - ~$4

Semi - ~$6

Full Size - ~$8

The Chocolate Bread only comes in half size and costs ~$6.

Give me a bigger one🤤🍫!

03 Whitelier Bread,

How Many Centimeters to Cut?

A special feature of Whitelier bread is that you can

choose your preferred thickness.

There are four types: 1.2cm / 1.5cm / 2cm / 3cm.

You can usually find 1.2cm or 1.5cm everywhere, right?

That's why I think **2cm is the most popular choice** for Whitelier bread.

It seems to be the best way to experience

Whitelier bread's unique fluffiness and texture. 😋

When you tell them your desired thickness,

they slice it right there on the spot, and it's surprisingly satisfying! Haha.

Whitelier's chocolate bread comes as a whole loaf without cutting.

They say it's best to **tear it apart by hand** at home

rather than slicing it! 👍

Whitelier isn't just famous for its bread;

their jams are quite renowned too.

It's not just regular strawberry jam;

their **Strawberry Butter Jam** is especially famous.

Personally, I cast my vote for

it's delicious even without jam!

05 How to Store Whitelie Bread

Honestly, I don't think I've ever really stored Whitelie bread for long...?

It's so delicious, I always just eat it all up! Lol.

But if you get the full size, you can share it too! 😉

Whitelie also provides separate guidance because the taste changes even if you store it at room temperature for up to 3 days.

For Whitelie bread, you can **store it at room temperature for 2-3 days, then freeze it**.

As for Whitelie jam, we **recommend consuming it within 1 month** and **refrigerating it** normally!

A few years ago, someone gave me Whitelie bread as a gift, and when I tried it, I was like, 'Woah, this is a whole new world!' This time, I got to try it again at the Whitelie Gangneung branch.

It's definitely different from regular bread, and it tastes as good as it is pricey.

Especially these days, with the chocolate bread being so popular, if you're planning to visit Whitelie Gangneung, the fresh bread usually comes out at **10 AM**, but it might be a good idea to call ahead before you visit! 😚
