If you're looking to have dinner at Weihai Tianmu Hot Spring Resort in China,

there are really only two options!

Since there are no restaurants near the resort and no delivery services available,

you either need to buy food beforehand and bring it with you before check-in,

or dine at the Tianmu Hot Spring restaurant!

Since there aren't any refrigerators at Tianmu Hot Spring, I simply

had dinner at the resort's restaurant, and

it was also the same spot where breakfast is served 😉

Inside, the restaurant featured round tables with elegant silk chairs, and

the vibrant, warm-toned lighting created

a clean and sophisticated ambiance.

Just like many typical Chinese restaurants,

each table had an Alipay QR code, and I scanned it to check out the menu!

There was such a wide variety of dishes —

seafood, meat, vegetable dishes, and more — it was actually quite hard to choose! Haha.

Perhaps because of the sophisticated ambiance,

the prices were a bit on the higher side,

but since all the dishes were generously portioned,

it didn't feel overpriced at all! 👍

I ordered three dishes!

Shrimp Tempura for 68 CNY, Yangzhou Fried Rice for 18 CNY,

and Suan La Tang (Hot and Sour Soup) for 28 CNY, totaling 114 CNY 😊

That's approximately ~$19 USD,

and for two people dining at a resort restaurant,

I was quite satisfied with the reasonable price! Haha.

Weihai Tianmu Hot Spring Resort Restaurant Dinner Review

First, I ordered Suan La Tang, a Chinese soup known for its spicy and sour charm,

because I'd heard it's a must-try when visiting China~

I couldn't believe the portion size – it looked like enough for 10 people!

I almost fainted from shock, haha!

The thick, rich broth was full of soft, scrambled eggs

and generously topped with green onions.

It was the perfect warm soup to soothe a tired body

after a relaxing hot spring soak!

However... I just couldn't quite grasp the taste of Suan La Tang,

so it wasn't really to my liking 😂

While I'd recommend it to those who already love it,

if you're a Suan La Tang beginner like me,

I'd suggest ordering something else instead 😢

The Shrimp Tempura! I would have seriously regretted not ordering this!

These plump shrimp were fried to a perfect golden-brown crisp,

making them universally delicious and a definite crowd-pleaser! 💕

Served with a chili-sauce-like dip,

If you dip them, the crispiness just doubles! Haha!

However, if you only eat shrimp tempura,

it can get a bit heavy and greasy, so

I highly recommend ordering a spicy dish alongside it!

As expected of Weihai, a city renowned for its seafood,

the shrimp were incredibly plump, giving them a fantastic texture!

The batter was thin and wonderfully crispy,

while the shrimp inside remained perfectly moist and utterly delicious ❤️

It's a crowd-pleasing dish that everyone from kids to adults will love,

so I highly recommend it! Haha!

And finally, we have the traditional Yangzhou Fried Rice,

beautifully presented in a perfect round shape! ♪(´▽｀)

Fluffy rice grains were perfectly interspersed with egg,

plump shrimp, carrots, and vibrant green vegetables.

The colors were so appealing, and

the texture was fantastic – truly delicious! Haha!

At just 18 yuan, it was an absolute steal!

The portion was so incredibly generous, I honestly couldn't finish it all!

It's undeniable that Chinese fried rice is simply delicious –

the perfect harmony of oil and high heat is truly something special! 😍

I was so satisfied because, even without leaving the Tianmu Hot Spring Resort,

I could enjoy high-quality meals in a spacious and pleasant environment,

all at a great value!

If you've enjoyed a relaxing hot spring bath at Tianmu and want to have a comfortable meal

without traveling far, I highly recommend it! 😉

However, since there are so many meal options, and everyone has different preferences,

I think it's a great idea to check the menu and decide beforehand

to ensure you have an even more delightful dining experience! Haha!

Most of the dishes here come with generous portions,

so it's a good idea to keep that in mind when you're ordering!
