When you look for accommodation in Weihai, most
recommendations tend to gravitate towards Hanlefang, don't they?
As I was on a longer trip, 6 nights and 7 days,
I needed a quiet place to relax rather than a bustling area.
So, in the Weihai International Beach area,
I chose an ocean-view accommodation for around ~$15 per night.
In addition to a review of the place I personally stayed,
I've also compiled a list of 3 comparative hotels for those who prioritize
breakfast and service over value for money.

1. Why I Chose This Accommodation at International Beach
Weihai is a city where
the travel vibe dramatically changes depending on your accommodation's location.
If the Hanlefang area is all about night markets and shopping,
the International Beach area, nestled by the sea,
is a perfect neighborhood for a quiet escape.
I chose this accommodation for two main reasons.
⭐ First up: its incredibly walkable location.

With Sunset Castle also nearby,
it was easy to visit three of Weihai's iconic attractions
without needing a taxi.
Destination | Travel Time |
Weihai International Beach | Approx. 10 min walk |
Huoju 8th Street | Approx. 10 min walk |
24-hour Supermarket | Approx. 3 min walk |
⭐ The second reason, of course, was the price.
I booked through Trip.com,
and the regular price was around ~$22 per night during peak season,
totaling about ~$141 for 6 nights.

With special accommodation discounts, airline member benefits,
and a 3-night stay discount all stacking up,
the actual payment amounted to ~$94.
Spending 6 nights in an ocean-view room for around ~$15 a night
was more than enough for a long trip, wouldn't you agree?
During the off-season, you can book a night for ~$7 to ~$15,
but prices vary by date,
so once your dates are set, it's best to check the rates first for accuracy.

2. Review of Zhouya Ocean View Homestay
This accommodation operates rooms
within an apartment complex.
Once you enter the complex, you'll find arrow signs,
and simply by following them, you'll reach the lobby.

There were no English-speaking staff,
so I showed my voucher and communicated using Papago,
and after adding the counter's WeChat QR code as a friend,
I received the elevator key card.
Even though it was a 2-star accommodation,
I didn't need to register my stay separately,
which was great as it was handled automatically.
Passwords and requests were communicated via WeChat,
making check-in quick and seamless.

The room I stayed in for 6 nights and 7 days
was the Delight Latte Sea View Room.
As soon as I opened the door, this view greeted me,
and for this price, a room like this –
honestly, I was quite satisfied!

With the ocean directly visible through the window,
having that ocean view made my mornings delightful.
I could also find Korean movies and dramas to watch with the beam projector,
and there was a small portable table, making it convenient
for laptop work or enjoying delivery food.

With a washing machine, I could do laundry,
and staying here, it almost felt like I was living in China.
The bathroom was clean, and the hot water worked perfectly.
They even provided shampoo, body wash, and a toothbrush set,
so there was no need to pack my own.

However, the towels were disposable,
and breakfast wasn't provided at the accommodation.
But with a 24-hour supermarket just a 3-minute walk from the accommodation,
I solved my meal dilemmas either there or with delivery.

If you're looking for a long-term stay near Weihai International Beach
that offers great value for money,
this place is definitely worth recommending.

3. Top 3 Hotels Near International Beach for Comparison
While the previous option certainly offered excellent value, the lack of breakfast
and its apartment-style setup might not be for everyone.
⭐ So, for those who prioritize breakfast and hotel services,
I've picked out three comparable hotels.
Please note that the ratings are based on Trip.com,
so consider them for reference.
1. Hampton by Hilton
(Huage 8th Avenue International Beach Branch)
This is a new hotel that opened in 2025,
and it ranks 3rd among luxury hotels in Weihai on Trip.com.

With a kids' club and even themed kids' rooms,
it's perfect for families traveling with children.
It also boasts a complimentary minibar and a fitness center.

It holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 (from 755 reviews), with a standout comment praising the diverse and substantial breakfast.
If you're planning a summer trip, it's a good idea to compare prices
before rates go up.

2. Floral Hotel Weihai
Lanhai Designer Hotel
(Huage 8th Avenue International Beach Branch)
This designer hotel, newly opened in 2026,
features a tranquil wooden interior.

High-floor corner rooms offer panoramic windows
with direct ocean views,
and you can easily walk to Huage 8th Avenue and the beach.
With a complimentary minibar, free laundry service,
and even butler service,
it creates a wonderful atmosphere for a quiet getaway for two.

While it has a 4.7-star rating, with only 42 reviews,
it's a new hotel still gathering feedback.
Keep in mind that the panoramic ocean views are specific to the high-floor corner rooms,
so be sure to compare room options when booking
and choose a sea-facing room.

3. Golden Bay Hotel (Jinhaiwan International Hotel)
As a 5-star hotel according to Trip.com,
it's the most classic and luxurious option among the three.
Jinhaiwan Pier is right in front,
and Weihai International Beach is only about 250m away,
meaning you're practically on the beach as soon as you step outside.

Some rooms offer ocean views,
and the breakfast consistently receives excellent reviews,
making it ideal for enjoying a hearty start to your day.

Just a heads-up, this hotel doesn't have a swimming pool,
so if you're looking for some poolside fun
right at your accommodation, you'll want to keep that in mind.
It's super convenient for those arriving by train,
as it's only about 5km from Weihai North Station.

>> Check Golden Bay Hotel Rates
All three hotels are near the International Beach,
so their locations are similar, but their vibes are quite distinct!
If you're traveling with kids and seeking a family-friendly adventure,
the Hampton by Hilton, with its fantastic kids' club, is an ideal match.
For couples dreaming of a stylish and atmospheric retreat,
the newly opened Floral Hotel, a true designer gem, is calling your name.
And if a five-star experience right on the beachfront,
complete with a delicious breakfast, is what you're after,
the Golden Bay Hotel is your perfect, hassle-free choice.
4. Journey's End
For this Weihai trip, I'm so glad I chose accommodation
near the International Beach instead of Hanlefang.
Even though breakfast wasn't included, for just ~$15 a night,
my room came with an ocean view, a washing machine, and even a beam projector
– I was perfectly comfortable for my entire 6-night stay!
If you're planning a longer, budget-friendly trip,
I highly recommend the Zhouya Ocean View Homestay.
But if breakfast and top-notch service are more your priority,
then any of the three comparison hotels above would be a fantastic pick.
If you're still mulling over where to stay near Weihai International Beach,
I truly recommend this area for anyone yearning for a peaceful seaside escape.
