Join me on my latest adventure! This time, we're heading just outside Weihai City, towards Rongcheng, to discover the incredible Naxianghai Tourist Resort.

My focus for this trip was the amusement park area, home to the magnificent Grand Ferris Wheel. I've compiled everything you need to know: from Naxianghai's background and location to operating hours and a suggested travel itinerary. Let's dive in!

1. Naxianghai Basic Information + Travel Itinerary

Naxianghai (那香海) is a premier 4A-rated comprehensive holiday resort complex.

Naxianghai is located a bit further from downtown Weihai, heading towards Rongcheng. If your plans are strictly limited to the city's central attractions, it might be a stretch to include this on your itinerary.

However, once you arrive, you'll be captivated by the blend of European-style architecture and expansive ocean views. It truly feels less like China and more like an international holiday destination!

From Hanlerfang to Jinshiman Seaweed House, expect about a 50-minute drive, costing around ~$10-11 USD. Shorter trips between attractions (10-20 minutes) typically run about ~$3-4 USD. This makes for a great half-day excursion!

2. Grand Ferris Wheel Night View Experience ⭐

The Jinghaizhi'an Grand Ferris Wheel (静海之眼 摩天轮) is located within the Naxianghai Tourist Resort itself.

The resort complex is truly massive; it takes about a 15-minute walk from Naxianghai Diamond Beach Square to reach the Ferris Wheel!

A ride on the Grand Ferris Wheel costs about ~$7 USD per person. You can purchase tickets directly at the on-site ticket booth.

The entire frame of the Ferris Wheel features a dazzling LED light show, offering panoramic views of the ocean and the resort's stunning nightscape.

Within the Naxianghai Tourist Resort, there's also a smaller amusement park area. You'll find carousels and plenty of play equipment for kids.

The location is also directly connected to the sea. This means in winter, you can spot beautiful swans, and it's a fantastic spot to catch a breathtaking sunset.

Xianghai Huajie (香海花街) is a charming street lined with European-style buildings.

It's filled with beautifully lit cafes and atmospheric pubs. After exploring the Ferris Wheel area, it's the perfect place to grab a drink and enjoy a leisurely evening stroll.

My recommended photo spot is facing the bridge; you'll capture the most stunning pictures there.

The deep blue LED lighting creates a unique and captivating backdrop, so make sure to visit!

There's also a large stage here where performances are held. You'll find tables where you can enjoy food and beverages.

The live band music combined with the sea breeze created a wonderful atmosphere. If I had more time, I definitely would have stayed for a drink.

Befitting Shandong Province, seafood dishes are readily available, making for a unique dining experience right near the Ferris Wheel.

On my next visit, I'll definitely plan a full day to explore everything Naxianghai has to offer!

It's surprising how many diverse tourist attractions and unique sights you can discover if you look closely.
