Hi everyone!
It's Minimanimoo, your go-to guide for making the most of your hard-earned vacation days.
If you are looking to create a truly special memory in Chiang Mai rather than just hitting the usual tourist spots, why not try a creative one-day workshop?
Today, I am excited to introduce The Warehouse Paint Club, a wonderful space where you can experience a variety of art activities.
I have always been artistically challenged and was incredibly worried about whether I could actually finish a painting. However, with the kind guidance of the instructor, I managed to complete a beautiful piece entirely on my own!
Whether you are planning a family trip with kids, or traveling with friends or a partner, this is the perfect spot for a unique and memorable Chiang Mai activity.

Programs and Pricing
The Warehouse Paint Club offers a wide variety of hands-on workshops suitable for all ages.
Some of their most popular programs include canvas painting, eco-bag painting, mirror painting, beaded bracelet and necklace making, clay tray crafting, bear fluid art pouring, and custom keychain making.

Looking at all the completed samples on display, they were all so beautiful that it was hard to choose just one activity!

All the necessary materials are included in the program fee, and the duration varies depending on your chosen project and personal pace. For the canvas painting class I selected, it took about 2 hours to complete comfortably.

How to Book and Visit
We decided to book our spots in advance before visiting. While walk-ins seemed possible when we went, seat availability and program options can change, so I highly recommend reaching out via their official Instagram to inquire before your visit.

Out of all the options, I went with the classic canvas painting program. They have a huge variety of reference art hanging on the walls to inspire you, but you can also bring your own photo or image to paint!

My One-Day Class Experience
Step 1: Choosing a Design
Once you choose your design and show it to the staff, they will prepare and bring out all the specific paint colors needed for your masterpiece.

Step 2: Getting Settled
Your workspace comes fully set up with an apron, brushes, water cups, and your canvas. Because they provide absolutely everything, it’s an incredibly convenient activity to add to your itinerary without having to pack any supplies.

Step 3: Sketching and Base Coating
Since I have absolutely zero artistic skills, I was quite intimidated by the thought of sketching. Luckily, the instructor demonstrated the coloring sequence and techniques on a separate sheet of paper first, making it super easy to follow.

Step 4: Painting with Expert Guidance
The instructors don't just take over and paint for you. Instead, they let you do the work and step in to guide you whenever you get stuck or find a section particularly challenging. This approach made the class completely stress-free and very rewarding!

I started off trying to copy the reference design, but at one point, my painting started looking like a giant, messy striped block!

But after calling the instructor over for a few SOS rescues, it slowly but surely transformed into a real work of art.

Overall Verdict
Even if you aren't great at drawing, the helpful instructors guide you step-by-step, making it an incredibly satisfying experience. Plus, walking away with your own custom-made souvenir is the best part!
They also have a cozy sofa in the shop where non-participating companions can relax. It's a great setup for parents to rest comfortably while their kids enjoy the workshop.
If you want to bring home a unique, personal memory from Chiang Mai that goes beyond just sightseeing and eating, I highly recommend booking a session at The Warehouse Paint Club!
