During this Chiang Mai trip, we spent two days
at a private pool villa accommodation called
Sense of Haiya.
1. Sense of Haiya
Sense of Haiya is a two-story property
with ample space that we could enjoy all to ourselves,
making it a wonderful place to relax
and spend leisurely time at the accommodation :)

2. Sense of Haiya Overall Accommodation Condition
Unlike typical hotel rooms, Sense of Haiya
allows multiple people to share one space.
It's like what we'd call a private pool pension in Korea.
In Korea, even large pool villas
usually have a standard occupancy of two people,
and additional guests often incur extra charges, right?
However, this Chiang Mai pool villa, Sense of Haiya,
allows up to 6 adults to stay without any additional fees :)

Since the space is divided into two floors,
even after everyone spends time together in one spot,
I loved that we could each return to our own rooms for some personal time
and comfortably relax!
When traveling with friends,
after moving together all day,
there are times when you need a moment to yourself,
and with a total of 3 rooms plus a spacious living area,
it was great to be able to enjoy some solo time if you felt tired after hanging out together.
It's not a brand-new accommodation,
so there were some signs of age here and there,
but we could use it without any discomfort.
It seems they often renovate and refresh the place,
and they put a lot of care into its maintenance :)
3. Spacious Living Room and Kitchen Condition
As soon as you step inside the accommodation, a spacious living room
and kitchen unfold before your eyes!
With a cozy, emotional vibe from the wooden tones,
all the utensils were neatly organized :)
There were simple cooking utensils and equipment,
as well as plates and cutlery,
so you could easily cook a simple meal,
or even if you ordered delivery or brought takeout,
you could finish it off and enjoy it even more.
As a complimentary service, cup noodles, drip coffee, stick coffee,
and simple snacks were provided,
which might seem like small things, but they were truly touching...!!
Six bottles of water are provided as a basic amenity~
Ice cream, beer, and cola are part of the paid mini-bar service,
and there's a price list inside the refrigerator for your reference :)
Perhaps because it's Thailand,
even the mini-bar prices weren't a burden!
The mangosteens you see in the fridge
are something we bought separately ㅋㅋ
4. A Convenient Accommodation with a Bathroom in Each Room
What I was particularly satisfied with
is that each room has its own private bathroom!
This was the bathroom inside a first-floor room.
Since there's another one in addition to the living room bathroom,
it's definitely convenient when you have a larger group.
Especially for people like me, who are a bit particular about bathrooms when out and about,
this was truly a lifesaver...!!
And the first-floor living room also has a separate bathroom,
with shampoo, body wash, disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste,
and basic bathroom amenities provided,
making it super convenient to use.
There are two rooms on the second floor!
The stairs aren't narrow either, so it felt very safe.
Each guest room on the second floor also has its own separate bathroom~
When traveling with friends, one thing that secretly causes a bit of stress
is often the shared living spaces,
but being able to use individual rooms and bathrooms meant that
getting ready in the morning was much more relaxed and wonderful :)
If you prioritize bathrooms as a key factor when choosing accommodation for a family trip or a trip with friends,
I think this is a pretty big advantage.
The second-floor hallway is also quite spacious,
with a good distance between the rooms,
so you can comfortably enjoy your own private time, all to yourself haha.
5. A Private Pool Just for Us
And the biggest charm of this accommodation is definitely
the fact that it has a private pool
that only we can use!
Hotel pools have to be shared with other guests,
but the best part about a pool villa is that you get to
spend time just with your own group, isn't it?!
You can spend time by the pool,
then go back to the room to rest,
or chat together in the living room
and then go for a swim whenever you feel like it~
Even staying at the accommodation all day,
it felt less stifling.
Especially when traveling with several people,
spending relaxed time at the accommodation is just as much fun
as exploring many tourist spots. This was a perfect place
to enjoy that kind of time :)
6. Highly Recommended for Family or Friends' Trips
Sense of Haiya has several rooms,
so I think it would be especially great for
group trips with family or friends.
The advantage is that you can spend time together in one shared space,
while also being able to relax in your own private room!
Conversely, if a couple visits,
they could enjoy the advantages of a multi-person space even more,
making their pool villa experience even more spacious and private.
For those who spend a lot of time at their accommodation during a trip,
this type of lodging might be more satisfying than a hotel :)
7. Wrapping Up
Sense of Haiya wasn't just a place to sleep;
it was a private pool villa where you could
enjoy quality time just with your group within the accommodation itself.
I'd especially recommend it if you're planning a group trip with friends
or a family vacation,
and if you're a couple, you might enjoy the pool villa even more
with extra space and privacy!
Excluding peak season, the average price is around ~$193, or approximately ~$207.
Honestly, when I first heard it was ~$207 for one night,
it seemed expensive to me.
But then I thought about several people staying together,
and my perspective changed a bit.
If 2 people share a room in a general hotel,
you'd have to book 3 separate rooms.
Considering the cost of booking multiple rooms,
a private pool villa, where you get the entire space to yourselves,
actually seemed more reasonable.
