Room Tour - The Pool Villa

The room we stayed in this time was the gorgeous Plunge Pool Pavilion.
The moment we walked in, we couldn't help but gasp, "Wow, this is huge!" It’s incredibly spacious at 133 m² (around 1,430 sq ft!).
It's more than spacious enough for families or groups of three or more travelers.
I loved how the bedroom and living areas are split by a few steps, naturally dividing the living space and giving it a super cozy feel.

Resort Activities: Morning Yoga

One of the best things about Veranda High is that they offer complimentary in-resort activities every single day!
The weekly schedule is packed with great free programs, and we made sure to reserve our spots at check-in.

They had morning yoga, Thai boxing, temple walks, and bike tours on offer.
There are also cooking classes available, so if you're interested, I highly recommend checking the schedule ahead of time!

Since I stayed from Monday to Tuesday, I signed up for the Tuesday morning yoga class. It ran from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM, and heading straight to breakfast right after was incredibly refreshing!

To be honest, you can easily follow yoga videos on YouTube at home. But starting your morning positively with a professional instructor while listening to real birds chirping in nature was such a beautiful experience.
The Breakfast Spread

Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The breakfast restaurant is located just one flight of stairs up from the swimming pool, making the layout super convenient and letting us start our day with a lovely dining atmosphere.

There are only about three tables with the absolute best views. However, maybe because there were many guests with kids, most people seemed to prefer dining inside with the air conditioning.

The Breakfast Spread
The Thai corner featured options like rice porridge, som tum, spicy salads, egg fried rice, and jasmine rice,

while the Western station offered a great variety ranging from pancakes, Nutella, and jams to sausages and fresh fruit.

The pastry selection was incredibly diverse! The croissants were so delicious that I found myself going back for seconds and thirds.

For eggs, you could order unlimited custom dishes like omelets, fried eggs, eggs Benedict, Thai pan-fried eggs, scrambled eggs, and frittatas. Right next to that station, they were also whipping up fresh, made-to-order noodle soup!

There was also freshly brewed coffee and fresh juices available.

Since they host a fair share of Korean guests, they even had kimchi on hand!
The Spa & Massage

After all, you can't visit Southeast Asia without getting a massage, right?
Veranda High Resort has fantastic spa facilities, so we were able to book a session and relax without ever having to leave the property.

After filling out a quick consultation form, the massage therapist guided us to our treatment room.

I was absolutely amazed to find out that the treatment rooms are individual private villas! There seemed to be about five or six of them. It felt incredibly private, and it looked like a very popular spot for couples on their honeymoon.

The spa room featured floor-to-ceiling windows, surrounded by lush, vibrant greenery. Just stepping into the space made me feel completely relaxed before the massage even started!

It was so relaxing that my muscles completely melted, and I drifted off to sleep.
To top it off, they thoughtfully served us a warm cup of tea afterward, making it a perfect experience from start to finish.

While the prices are higher than your typical local street massage, the luxury resort spa experience and serene atmosphere make it absolutely worth it.
Dinner Restaurant & Menu

Many guests choose to dine at the resort's restaurant for dinner. Since it's located a bit away from the city center, apparently over 80% of the guests end up having dinner here.

Instead of the pool-side spot, we took a buggy ride to the dinner restaurant. Rabiang Cha Restaurant is situated right above lush, green rice paddies, and the atmosphere was truly magical.

For our meal, I ordered my favorites: Poo Pad Pong Curry (yellow crab curry) and Yam Wun Sen (glass noodle salad). The prices were around ~$10, which was surprisingly affordable!

✅ The Poo Pad Pong Curry was incredibly soft and packed with more crab meat than anywhere else I've ever tried. If you visit, you absolutely must order this!

✅ The Yam Wun Sen was delicious and loaded with fresh seafood. Honestly, though, there were a bit too many glass noodles, which made the flavor slightly bland. Next time, I think I'll try the Margherita pizza instead!

✅ For dessert, we had the apple tart. It wasn't the hard-crusted tart you might expect, but rather soft and chewy! It actually tasted a lot like a sweet, chewy Korean hotteok (sweet griddle cake), which made it super delicious.
Quick Summary & Honest Review

I highly recommend staying at Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai between Monday and Friday. The reason is that they offer fantastic free weekday activities, and there's really no pressing reason to head out into the busy city during those days.

Since weekends are packed with local markets and night markets, you'll likely want to spend your Saturday and Sunday in the city center. If you do that during a weekend stay here, you won't get to fully enjoy everything this amazing resort has to offer.

The only real downside of Veranda High Resort is that it's quite far from downtown. So, I'd suggest scheduling your city sightseeing for other days and dedicating at least one full day to relaxing by the pool and enjoying the resort facilities.
If you are celebrating an anniversary, a birthday, or planning a relaxing getaway with your mom, I highly recommend treating yourself to the pool villa experience!
