Venetian Macao Review: Luxury Suites on the Cotai Strip
Is the Venetian Macao still worth it in 2026? From massive luxury suites to the best Cotai Strip location, here is my complete guide and honest review.

I've fallen completely in love with Macao, and my 2026 trip marks my umpteenth time visiting! This time around, I planned a special getaway to treat my mom.
We stayed at the iconic Venetian Macao, and it exceeded both of our expectations.
From the massive suites and serene pool to the room service and free shuttles,
I'm breaking down everything you need to know in this comprehensive review.
Out of all the places I've stayed in Macao over the years,
this hotel ranks number one for location, amenities, and overall room quality.
I can confidently recommend it to anyone planning a trip here.
1. Why I Highly Recommend The Venetian Macao

📌 Top Reasons to Choose The Venetian:
· All-Suite Hotel: Every room is a spacious suite (starting at 750 sq ft)
· Incredible value at around ~$154 per night
· Unbeatable Location: Steps away from The Parisian, The Londoner, and City of Dreams (COD)
· Fantastic indoor shopping mall packed with highly-rated restaurants
Since I was traveling with my mom, I really wanted us to have plenty of space to relax. But honestly, the biggest selling point is the location!
It sits perfectly in the center of the Cotai Strip,
meaning almost everything is less than a 10-minute walk away.
(It was super close when we went to see The House of Dancing Water, and our open-top night bus tour conveniently dropped us off right at the hotel.)
It's also incredibly easy to access famous local eats like Lord Stow's Bakery (for those famous egg tarts) and North restaurant.
You can easily spend a whole day just exploring the indoor Grand Canal Shoppes.

❗ My only initial worry was the sheer size of the resort. I didn't want my mom to have to walk miles just to get out of the building.
🍯 Pro Tip: The hotel has a Main Lobby and a West Lobby. The guest suites are divided into the South and North towers.
Most of the convenient shuttle buses depart from the West Lobby.
So, when you book or check-in, request a room close to the West Lobby.
Doing this saved us so much walking time!
(We were assigned a suite on the 28th floor of the South tower. There's a great food court right by the South tower elevators, and the West Lobby has a Starbucks, Five Guys, TWG Tea, and Koi Kei Bakery.)
· Check-in: After 3:00 PM
· Check-out: Before 11:00 AM
You can check in at either lobby, but we used the Main Lobby.
The staff was incredibly welcoming, handing us two bottles of water and some candies right at the desk. (There were four more complimentary water bottles waiting in the room!)
They kindly provided a resort map so we wouldn't get lost finding our South tower room,
and also shared the shuttle bus schedule (which I've included a photo of below).
❗ The fastest shortcut to the rooms is walking straight through the casino floor. Since we had luggage, the staff forwarded our bags directly to our suite so we could stroll through easily. (If you have kids, there are bypass corridors right next to the casino that connect everything.)
2. Inside the Venetian Macao Suites

📌 Room Categories
Room Category | Bed Type | Room Size |
Royale Deluxe Suite | 1 King Bed | 750 sq ft |
Bella Deluxe Suite | 2 Double Beds | 750 sq ft |
Premio Royale Suite | 1 King Bed | 750 sq ft |
Familia Suite | 1 Bunk Bed + 1 King Bed | 750 sq ft |
Every single room here is a suite starting at a generous 750 sq ft.
We opted for the Bella Deluxe Suite.
(Note: The 'Premio' suites have a slightly more modernized interior design.)
Having two double beds gave us plenty of sleeping space,
and the sunken, separated living room area was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing.

The bathroom was stunning—fully decked out in elegant marble.
It features dual vanities, a deep soaking tub, a separate glass shower booth, and a private water closet.
I honestly kept thinking, "I wish my bathroom at home looked like this..."
❗ One of the best secrets about Macao's Cotai Strip is that despite being ultra-luxurious 5-star properties,
you can often snag a room for around ~$154 a night on weekdays.
However, room rates skyrocket on Fridays and Saturdays due to the massive influx of weekend casino tourists.
I highly recommend planning your Macao stay between Sunday and Thursday if possible.
(I actually stayed in Hong Kong over the weekend and took the ferry over to Macao on a weekday to avoid the price surge!)
Prices fluctuate based on your travel dates,
so definitely compare rates across platforms before booking.

3. My Honest Room Review

As expected from a true 5-star resort,
the bedding was incredibly plush and cloud-like. I slept like a baby every single night.
(It just reinforces my belief that investing in a good hotel with great soundproofing and premium linens is always worth it.)
The bathroom amenities include high-quality multi-use pump bottles for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap.
They also provide single-use kits containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, a comb, and a sewing kit.
There was a nice 50ml bottle of body lotion that doubled perfectly as a hand cream—I definitely slipped that into my purse for the flight home!
The hair dryer was surprisingly powerful with multiple heat and speed settings, which was a huge plus.
Inside the closet, you'll find plush bathrobes, an ironing board, and an iron.
The TV cabinet in the living room houses an electric kettle, mugs, tea bags, and a mini-fridge.
I loved making a warm cup of tea in the mornings.
We also bought a bunch of extra egg tarts and kept them fresh in the fridge for late-night snacking! 😆

For reference, this was our city view from the room!
Even though we were up high on the 28th floor, it faced the back of the property, so the view wasn't anything spectacular. If a view is important to you, you might want to request a Cotai Strip-facing room.
4. Pool, Room Service, and Free Shuttles

📌 Pool Location & Hours:
Level 5 | Open 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
We headed down for a swim on the morning of our checkout.
It was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. 😌
You don't need to bring towels from your room; plenty of fresh pool towels are provided on the deck. Just throw your robe over your swimsuit and head down! They even sell children's swimwear near the entrance if you forget yours.
We ended up ordering room service quite a bit during our stay.
On our pool day, we didn't want to rush out for breakfast, so we ordered a comforting pumpkin congee and a classic omelet delivered right to the suite!
(They even threw in a complimentary bread basket.)
Pumpkin Congee: ~$11 (MOP 88)
3-Egg Omelet: ~$23 (MOP 188)
❗ The room service prices are surprisingly comparable to the restaurants downstairs,
and the menu is extensive. I highly recommend treating yourself to breakfast in bed at least once.

You can check the shuttle bus schedule in the photo above.
We mainly used the free shuttles to get to and from the airport and the ferry terminal.
There is also a designated taxi rank right next to the shuttle pickup area,
so you never have to worry about hailing a cab on the street.

✔ Perfect for travelers looking for high value and the best location
(Walking distance to The House of Dancing Water, North, Lord Stow's, The Londoner, and The Parisian.)
✔ Ideal for families wanting spacious suite accommodations
✔ Great for those who want world-class shopping without leaving the hotel
If any of these sound like you, The Venetian Macao is the ultimate choice!
I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat for my next trip.
It truly offers an unforgettable Macao experience.
