I've already visited three times, and that's saying something!
The menu is incredibly diverse and perfectly suits Korean palates.
How to reserve a table, location, menu, prices, and more for North by Northwest Macao,
I'll cover everything you need to know.

11 AM - 11 PM
If it's your first time visiting The Venetian Macao,
it's a huge, maze-like place, so you might get a little lost.
❗ From the hotel's main lobby, walk straight ahead
until you see the casino. Don't go into the casino;
instead, turn right at the entrance and go around the corner.
After you turn the corner and walk a little further, you'll see restrooms.
Keep going, and North by Northwest will be right in front of you.
(It's very close, about a 3-5 minute walk from the lobby.)
I visited around 5 PM, and it was wonderfully quiet,
so I was able to get in right away without a reservation.
Usually, it starts getting crowded from 6-7 PM.
Tip: Search for North by Northwest on Google Maps,
click the link that appears, and make a reservation in advance.
For North by Northwest Macao, you really need to book at least two weeks in advance
to secure a table...
There are BAR seats where you can watch the noodles being made,
and also separate table seating.
The interior is truly spacious, so no matter how many people you come with,
they'll guide you to a suitable table for your party size.
2. North by Northwest Menu
Once you're seated, they'll give you a Chinese menu,
but if you scan the QR code next to it,
they also provide a menu translated into English.

for MOP398 per person.
Below, I'll recommend a few popular dishes.

I particularly recommend the items marked with a ⭐.
By the way, the Crispy Pork Stir-fry with Black Vinegar is actually Guobaorou.
Just a heads-up, the Mapo Tofu and Dan Dan Noodles are quite spicy!
They have a noticeable "mala" (numbing spicy) flavor, so if you're sensitive to spice, you might find them too intense.

I absolutely recommend the Vegetable Salad with Peanuts!

The Fried Eggplant is a famously delicious eggplant dish,
As for dessert, the Deep-fried Banana or Purple Sweet Potato is a classic "Ba-ssu" (candied fruit) dish,
and you can even order it in a half-size!

3. My Honest Review of Venetian Hotel Restaurants
Fried Eggplant with Caramel and Spices MOP120
This is practically a must-order dish!
It's the signature fried eggplant from Northern Gate.
When I tried it a few years ago, it was a bit salty and had a strong flavor.
But it seems they've "patched" it to suit Korean palates (?)
because now it's perfectly sweet and seasoned, absolutely delicious!
Crispy Stir-fried Pork with Black Vinegar MOP128
This is their take on Guobaorou (sweet and sour pork),
and you can expect it to be just a little bit tangier than what you might find in Korea.
But it still has that deliciously sweet and crispy texture we all love,
making it a crowd-pleaser for all ages, no matter their preferences!
Fried Rice with Egg and Minced Beef MOP115
We needed some rice to pair with the fried eggplant and Guobaorou,
so fried rice was the perfect choice!
It's not overly seasoned and has a perfectly fluffy texture, making it ideal to enjoy with other dishes.
Since the rice portion is quite generous and filling,
it might be a bit much for just two people.
I'd recommend ordering it for three, or perhaps trying a noodle dish instead!
Northern-style Vegetable Salad with Peanuts MOP90
I enjoyed this so much when I visited with my mom last time
that I just had to order it again!
It might seem like a simple salad, but it comes with what tastes like an oriental dressing
that's incredibly savory and refreshing –
perfect for a palate cleanser in between richer dishes.
It's loaded with cucumber, tofu, bell peppers, and plenty of peanuts,
making it a truly generous and satisfying dish.
These four dishes are consistently delicious and reliable enough
that you could pretty much make them your go-to orders every time!
While it was a bit much for just two of us,
we were eager to try a variety of dishes, so we indulged a little!
Deep-fried Banana or Purple Sweet Potato with Candied Coating MOP75
They mentioned that the Ba-ssu could be ordered in a half-size,
so that's what we went for.
The half-size comes with four pieces,
and you get to choose between banana and purple sweet potato.
I opted for the purple sweet potato, and when it arrived, it even came with a cool dry ice presentation!
❗ It genuinely tastes like perfectly fried Korean sweet potato candy (Goguma Mattang),
with a hint of Dalgona! If you love sweet potato treats,
this is absolutely a must-try dish! 👍🏻 👍🏻
You can see from the cross-section that it's packed full of purple sweet potato.
Honestly, it's quite a filling dessert,
so I was really sad that we couldn't finish it all. 😭😭
But if you're traveling with a group, you absolutely have to give it a try!

From the main lobby of The Venetian Macao, go straight, then turn right before the casino entrance. Go around the corner and continue straight. You will see North by North West past the restrooms. It takes approximately 3 to 5 minutes from the lobby.
North by North West usually starts getting crowded from 6 PM to 7 PM. If you visit around 5 PM, you can enjoy it in a more relaxed atmosphere. It's recommended to make a reservation at least two weeks in advance through the link found by searching for "North by North West" on Google Maps.
Recommended dishes include Crispy Pork with Black Vinegar (MOP128), Fried Eggplant with Caramel and Spices (MOP120), and Fried Rice with Egg and Minced Beef (MOP115). You can get a 10% discount by joining the Sands Lifestyle membership.
