Booking Your Free Direct Bus from Hong Kong to Macau: Online Reservation Guide
While you can apply for a free bus ticket upon arrival at Hong Kong Airport, seats are limited for each bus. This means your preferred time slot might be fully booked, or there might be no available seats on the day you travel.
To ensure a smooth journey, we highly recommend making an online reservation in advance. If your Macau travel dates are set, it’s a smart move to secure your seat early!
Here’s how to book your free direct bus online:
1. Head to the official website above and click 'Book now'!
2. Enter your flight arrival information.
Select 'HK Int'Airport → HZMB Macau Port' for the Bus Direction, then fill in your flight details.
3. Choose your preferred bus time to Macau.
If you have checked luggage:
→ Check-in at E2 up to 60 minutes before bus departure.
If you have no checked luggage:
→ Check-in at E2 up to 30 minutes before bus departure.
Remember to factor in your Hong Kong Airport arrival time and the check-in window when selecting your bus schedule. Give yourself plenty of buffer time!
4. Enter your personal information.
After filling in your personal details, make sure to select the 'Macao Government tourism' option. This is essential for your booking to be free!
You can leave the 'Visa No' field blank.
5. Input your flight origin information.
Enter 'ICN' (Seoul Incheon International Airport) as your Origin, then click 'Go to Payment'!
6. Provide contact details and complete the 'payment'.
After entering your phone number and email address, proceed with the ~$0.00 payment to finalize your reservation!

Important Notes for Using the HKIA Free Direct Bus to Macau
The most crucial thing to remember when using the free direct bus:
The check-in counter for the Macau-bound bus is located in the Restricted Area E2 of Hong Kong International Airport, so DO NOT go through immigration into Hong Kong!
Upon arrival at Hong Kong Airport, follow the 'Macao' signs to the E2 transfer area. Present your passport, boarding pass, and baggage tag to collect your bus ticket.
What About Returning to Hong Kong?
The free direct bus benefit only applies to one-way travel from Hong Kong to Macau.
If you're planning to return to downtown Hong Kong, we highly recommend taking a ferry rather than the bus.
