Dongpirang literally means 'eastern cliff'.
The entire village is adorned with murals, so even if you come alone, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll and explore without ever feeling bored.

The murals adorning the village walls are all brimming with unique character and personality.

I happened to visit around sunset.
Perhaps that's why the photos turned out so beautifully vibrant.

Unlike other places, Dongpirang Mural Village felt like it was regularly maintained and updated.
While it might vary by local government, I've seen many mural villages that were decorated temporarily and then neglected, so this place stood out in comparison.

There are so many spots where you can take photos with the murals, which was fantastic for capturing lots of memories when visiting with kids.

Here's a little introduction to Dongpirang Mural Village.
It's a renowned destination that became a popular tourist spot after artists from Tongyeong and local residents began painting various murals on the village's old walls together.

You'll also find the Grandma Barista Coffee Shop.

As you ascend Mongmaruda Hill, you'll spot delightful paintings that perfectly complement the alleyway named 'Blue Sea Alley'.

What do you think?
It's truly a beautifully designed spot, isn't it?
Since we had already enjoyed a meal and some tea, we didn't go inside, but it definitely made me wish we had more time to truly soak in the charm of Mongmaruda Hill.

The rooftop of the village cooperative coffee shop is definitely the best spot!

This is Dongporu itself, and the breathtaking view of Tongyeong from its summit.

It's said that this was once a crucial military strategic point for Admiral Yi Sun-sin's naval battle plans, but today, it has been beautifully restored and transformed into a popular tourist attraction where everyone can freely explore and enjoy the views.
