Discover Cafe Nyeok in Tongyeong, a unique coffee shop offering a 360-degree rotating observatory and breathtaking night views of the city. An artistic must-visit!
After dinner during my Tongyeong trip, I searched for a coffee spot and discovered Cafe Nyeok, which came highly recommended as a must-visit in Tongyeong.
It's truly the ultimate spot for enjoying the city's night views.
Why? Because its top-floor observatory slowly rotates a full 360 degrees!

Strategically located at the entrance to the Singeojedae Bridge, which connects Tongyeong and Geoje, its observatory offers spectacular night views of both cities.

I expected a typical coffee shop, but to my surprise, the entire building is dedicated to Cafe Nyeok – it's a massive, multi-story coffee haven!

Its exterior is unique, but the interior design is truly artistic.
Inside, you can enjoy a gallery-like atmosphere, serene terraces, and even a rooftop area.

This is the first floor of the cafe.
The striking artwork and unique interior design immediately catch your eye.

You can place your order on the first floor and then head up to the other levels or take the elevator directly to the 7th-floor observatory.

There's even a Harley-Davidson on display!

With a variety of art pieces, it feels more like an art gallery than a cafe.

Even the tables are far from ordinary, each with its own character.

From the vintage display motorcycle to the art casually placed beside chairs, everything blends seamlessly into the cafe's unique aesthetic – it's truly fascinating.

Can you spot the hidden figure? Their clothing perfectly blends with the chair and wall, almost like camouflage!
The wall looks like it's made of moss, yet also has a rustic, rusted appearance – absolutely stunning.

Stepping onto the second floor, the walls and interior immediately hint at something extraordinary.

Opening a door reveals a charming outdoor terrace.

This is Cafe Nyeok's outdoor terrace, where you can truly soak in the refreshing scent of the night sea.

From here, you can glimpse the beautiful coastal nightscapes of Tongyeong and Geoje in the distance.

The overall view of the second floor.

It's evident that the interior designer made diverse and creative attempts throughout the space.

I couldn't access the men's or women's restrooms on the second floor, so I don't have photos....

From the second floor, we took the elevator up to the 7th-floor observatory.

The 7th floor of Cafe Nyeok features a rotating observatory that completes a full 360-degree rotation in about an hour.
While I could enjoy the night view perfectly with my eyes, reflections on the glass made it challenging to capture clear photos of the exterior nightscape.

Our drinks and pastries arrived. I heard the pastries here are quite delicious too!

Cafe Nyeok truly offers a multi-layered experience: start by ordering in the gallery-like first-floor cafe, admire the art, then perhaps enjoy the sea breeze on the second-floor terrace, and finally, ascend to the 7th floor to leisurely watch the panoramic Tongyeong and Geoje seascapes unfold as the observatory rotates.
If you're planning a trip to Tongyeong, Cafe Nyeok is a must-visit destination, whether you go at sunset to catch the golden hour or later in the evening to revel in the mesmerizing night views.
