Hello, fellow travelers!
Today, I am sharing my experience from a trip to Gyeongju in early May 2026. Gyeongju is famous for its rich history, but it is also home to some of the most beautiful cafes in South Korea.
During my trip, I visited Terarosa Gyeongju, a massive cafe located in the popular Hwangridan-gil area. What makes this branch truly special is its gorgeous Hanok (traditional Korean house) architecture. Let's dive into the details! 👍🏻

Located right at the end of Hwangridan-gil, Terarosa Gyeongju offers a spectacular view where traditional Hanok architecture meets the ancient royal tombs (tumuli) of Gyeongju. It is easily one of the most scenic cafes in the city! 👍🏻

Wait Times & Crowds

Because Terarosa is such a well-known brand in Korea, this Gyeongju branch can get quite crowded. Luckily, when we visited, we were able to walk right in and order without waiting in line!
Terarosa Gyeongju Bakery Options

As a large-scale cafe, Terarosa serves a variety of fresh bakery items alongside their famous specialty coffees. Since we arrived later in the evening, many of the bread options were already sold out, but we still managed to snag some delicious treats! 🥐

The cozy, traditional Hanok atmosphere is absolutely mesmerizing here. 🤎
The Outdoor Terrace Seating

Terarosa Gyeongju features a lovely outdoor terrace area. On days when the weather isn't too hot, sitting outside under the Hanok eaves surrounded by nature is an incredibly peaceful experience.
Spacious Indoor Seating

The interior is massive, with high ceilings and plenty of room to relax. It has a great aesthetic that makes you want to pull out your camera and start taking photos right away.
Pet Policy

Please note: Terarosa Gyeongju does not allow pets inside the premises. ❌ Only registered service dogs are allowed.

Here is where we sat! The highly coveted window seats with views of the royal tombs were already occupied, so we settled into a cozy spot further inside.

We ordered a selection of Terarosa’s specialty drip coffee, a rich affogato, and some delicious pastries and cakes to round out our evening treat!

As the clock struck 7:00 PM, the soft evening lights of the Hanok turned on, creating a completely different, romantic vibe compared to the daytime. It felt so peaceful and serene. I immediately bookmarked this place on Naver Maps to make sure I bring my family back here next time!

The view of the ancient royal tombs is truly the highlight of this Gyeongju Hanok cafe. 💚 If you want to experience the true essence of Gyeongju, spending an hour or two at Terarosa is highly recommended!

Kudos to my friends for picking such a perfect spot! Whether you visit during the bright afternoon or the cozy evening, this cafe has an undeniable charm. Plus, they stay open until 9:00 PM, which is great for a late-night coffee run.
