Studio City Macau Review: Affordable 5-Star Luxury Stay
Discover why Studio City Macau is the ultimate budget-friendly 5-star hotel on the Cotai Strip. Enjoy massive water parks and stunning Eiffel Tower views!

Located just a quick one-hour bus or ferry ride from Hong Kong, Macau is an absolute must-add to your 2026 travel itinerary.
It’s one of the few places in the world where you can experience genuine 5-star luxury without blowing your travel budget.
If you're planning a family trip to Macau,
I highly recommend checking out Studio City Macau.
Out of all the resorts I've stayed at here, this one offered the best combination of incredible amenities, a prime location, and unbeatable value!
1. Why the Location is Perfect

When choosing where to stay in Macau, picking a hotel on the Cotai Strip (near The Venetian)
is the smartest move for your itinerary.
You'll be within easy walking distance of the Venetian's massive shopping mall, the City of Dreams, the Parisian's Eiffel Tower, and The Londoner.
📌 Why Choose Studio City Macau?
· Just a 10-minute walk to The Venetian
· Budget-friendly 5-star luxury (typically ~$77 to ~$154 per night)
· Incredible amenities: pools, a massive water park, and the Golden Reel Ferris wheel
· Great dining onsite: Din Tai Fung, Joyride Diner, McDonald's, Starbucks, and more
· Ranked as the #1 Family Hotel in Macau on Trip.com
With numerous free shuttle bus routes and so much to do inside the resort itself, you could easily spend your entire trip just exploring the property.

2. Inside the Studio City Rooms

📌 Room Types Available
Room Type | Bed | Room Size |
Celebrity Vista King Room | 1 King Bed | 452 sq ft |
Celebrity Vista Twin Room | 2 Double Beds | 484 sq ft |
Premium Celebrity Vista Twin Room | 2 Double Beds | 484 sq ft |
Celebrity Suite | 1 King Bed | 915 sq ft |
I booked the standard Celebrity Vista Twin Room,
and at nearly 500 square feet, it felt incredibly spacious.
The double beds are plenty big enough if you're traveling with kids, and you can also request connecting rooms if you have a larger family.

The bathroom features gorgeous marble tiling that gives it a very premium feel.
The bathtub is massive—perfect for soaking after a long day at the pool.
Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained.
When checking in, I politely asked if an Eiffel Tower view was available.
The staff checked their system and kindly upgraded me!
Being able to see both the Parisian's Eiffel Tower and The Londoner right from my window was absolutely stunning.
There’s a small table and sofa by the window, making it the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy some famous Macau egg tarts while taking in the view.
I managed to book this for around ~$77 to ~$154 per night.
Prices fluctuate depending on the season, so be sure to check rates for your specific dates.
🍯 Pro Tip: Weekends in Macau get extremely busy (and expensive) with casino tourists.
If you want to score a great deal on the Cotai Strip, always try to book your stay on a weekday!

3. Pools & Outstanding Amenities
The bathroom was bright, clean, and felt very luxurious.
The amenities included not just hand soap, but also high-quality lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
The hairdryer provided was standard but worked perfectly well throughout our stay.
They also provide a full set of disposable amenities, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton pads, and shower caps!
One of the best perks? The minibar is completely free!
The fridge was stocked with Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, and Macau Beer, plus snacks like Oreos, mints, and nuts.
(It can be surprisingly hard to find a convenience store on the Cotai Strip, so having free drinks was a lifesaver.)
Can you believe they also gave us 10 bottles of water?
I was genuinely shocked! The bottles are a convenient size for carrying around the city. The room also came equipped with a capsule coffee machine.
I didn't have high expectations for the hotel pool,
but I was blown away by how massive it was.
Macau's 5-star resorts truly operate on another level of scale.
Definitely pack your swimsuit! If you forget yours, don't worry—there's a shop right next to the pool selling swimwear and gear.

Did you know Studio City also has its own Water Park?
While the standard pool is free for guests, the water park requires a separate ticket.
If you're visiting Macau with family, dedicating a full day to the water park is highly recommended!
(It's massive, featuring 12 indoor and outdoor slides.)

Because we were so close to The Venetian, we easily walked over to grab Lord Stow's Bakery egg tarts, dined at North, and shopped to our hearts' content.
Sitting by the window at night, drinking free Macau beer, eating egg tarts, and staring at the sparkling Eiffel Tower was pure bliss. 😌
4. Incredible Dining Options

📌 Studio City Restaurants
Din Tai Fung
Zhen Dim Sum
Bi Ying
Hui Lau Shan
McDonald's
Starbucks
Joyride Diner (Western)
Food Court
They even have a massive Don Don Donki store right inside the resort!
It's a fantastic place to pick up Japanese snacks and deli foods to bring back to your room.
(It's a bit pricier than in Japan, but the scale is impressive.)
After checking out on our final day, we ate at Zhen Dim Sum, and it was honestly the best meal I had during my entire Macau trip.
I would 100% stay here again on my next trip to Macau!
With its sprawling pools, fantastic dining, and endless entertainment, it's the ultimate staycation spot for families.
