Planning a trip to Gangneung, South Korea, often starts with finding the perfect place to stay.

My high school friends and I were planning a long-overdue reunion trip, and we needed a comfortable, affordable place for three women to stay.

1. Location

Stayers Pension's proximity to Gangmun Beach was fantastic for leisurely strolls.

After checking in, we immediately walked to Gangmun Beach, and a slow walk by the ocean truly set the perfect vacation mood.

The close proximity to Chodang Sundubu Village was a huge plus.

It meant we didn't have to spend much time driving to lunch the next day, allowing us to plan a more relaxed itinerary.

2. Room Atmosphere

Since three of us were staying for one night, we specifically looked for a room with at least two beds.

That's why we chose Stayers Pension Room 102.

The first thing that caught our eye upon entering the room was its impeccably clean and stylish atmosphere.

The aesthetic interior was perfect for taking photos, and the overall tidy feel really impressed us.

The bedding was also spotlessly clean.

I've definitely been disappointed by bedding conditions at other places while traveling, but here, we could relax completely without any worries.

3. Amenities

The kitchen, refrigerator, and all necessary dishware were well-stocked.

The guesthouse also offered Wi-Fi, and the private bathroom and shower were kept impeccably clean.

Although we couldn't use the barbecue facilities due to the rain, having individual BBQ setups available was definitely a plus.

With two beds, private barbecue areas, Wi-Fi, and even a lawn space, it looked like a great option for families traveling together too.

5. Review

In the past, my friends and I often booked hotels for our trips. However, when traveling as a trio, finding hotels with suitable bed arrangements or room layouts could be tricky.

This time, we opted for a guesthouse, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice!

The best part was definitely the ability to order delivery.

It was raining heavily, making it inconvenient to go out, so we had fresh sashimi delivered right to our room and enjoyed it comfortably.

Having experienced many accommodations where delivery wasn't an option, this feature made our stay even more satisfying.

The bathroom was clean, and the kitchen, refrigerator, and dishware were all well-equipped. Most importantly, the bedding was absolutely pristine!👍

It allowed my high school friends and I to catch up, chat late into the night, and truly relax.
