St. Tree Hotel Yeongjongdo Review 2026: Affordable Ocean Views
Discover St. Tree Hotel in Yeongjongdo, an affordable ocean-view gem perfect for family trips or airport layovers. Enjoy stunning views and a convenient location!

Hello, I'm Eundambi😊
Wanting to take a short trip somewhere close to Seoul,
I went on a family trip to Yeongjongdo, and now
I'd like to introduce our accommodation first.
If you're wondering which hotel to recommend on Yeongjongdo,
this might be helpful.
It was none other than Saintree Hotel.
You can enjoy ocean views from the terrace,
and it offers amazing value, even on weekends, for less than ~$73.
A review of Saintree Hotel, an ocean view hotel on Yeongjongdo.
Let me share all the details now!

As we drove up Cheongna Sky Bridge,
the travel vibes were in full swing!

Saintree Hotel is right next to Yeongjongjin Beach,
making it super convenient to access the beach before or after check-in.
It's also within walking distance to Seaside Park, perfect for a stroll.
Yeongjong Ferry Terminal is just a 4-minute walk away.
It's a great spot to relax and enjoy various activities
near the ocean.
Incheon International Airport is also only about a 15-20 minute drive away,
making it an excellent choice for a domestic family trip accommodation near the airport.

On Naver Maps, it's listed as Western Grace Hotel,
but it seems like multiple hotel companies share one building.
Honestly, I booked it for a Sunday-Monday stay for about ~$51,
so I didn't have high expectations.
But the hotel building was large and the lobby spacious,
which surprised me a little before checking in.

Checking the prices for a September 13-14 Sunday-Monday stay,
the price has dropped even further!!
Should I go again?

How to Check In at Saintree Hotel, Yeongjongdo

The check-in process at Saintree Hotel in Yeongjongdo
was a bit unique.
Instead of checking in at the 1st floor lobby,
we received a message on the morning of check-in with the door lock password for our room.
We also registered our car in advance by contacting them,
and it was registered as a long-term pass for two days,
allowing us to come and go freely without worrying about time.
Password-based check-in was new to me at first,
but it turned out to be even more convenient since we didn't need to carry a separate key.
Saintree Hotel Family Twin Room: A Ryokan-Inspired Retreat

The room we stayed in was a Family Twin Room,
and it was decorated in a Japanese ryokan style.
It was amazing to experience such an ambiance right here in Korea!

The tatami-style flooring felt wonderfully soft,
and the kids were amazed and absolutely loved it!

The bathroom was absolutely spotless!
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all provided,
and they even had disposable toothbrushes for everyone.
What really stood out was the generous supply of towels,
we never ran short!

With a terrace,
we could see the stunning ocean view right from inside the room,
and at night, we could even enjoy the mesmerizing bridge's night view,
making even just staying in the room feel incredibly healing.
It was a day with on-and-off light rain when I visited,
and I couldn't help but wish for a sunny day to truly see it in all its glory!

Having an LG Styler and an ice/hot/cold water dispenser right in the room
made our stay incredibly convenient!
Because the water dispenser was right in the room,
I made good use of the ice when having a refreshing drink after putting the kids to bed in the evening,
and the next day, when we enjoyed cup ramen for breakfast,
it was absolutely perfect and so convenient!
How We Spent Time Before Check-in at St. Tree Hotel

Check-in was at 4 PM,
but we arrived in the morning, giving us plenty of time
to enjoy a fantastic mudflat experience at Yeongjongjin Beach, right next door!
We smartly packed and dressed the kids in chest waders beforehand,
then happily dug into the mudflats and observed all sorts of fascinating creatures living there.
The seashells here were also quite different from what you might find on Korea's East Coast,
so we spent ages happily searching for the prettiest ones.
It was fantastic that we didn't just let the time before check-in slip away;
instead, we made the most of it with a productive and fun time at the beach.
Around 3 PM, we got the wonderful news that early check-in was possible,
so we zipped straight to the hotel!
It was so convenient to finish our muddy adventure, head straight to our cool, air-conditioned room,
get cleaned up, and then relax immediately!
Evening Fireworks at St. Tree Hotel
After finishing dinner, we returned to our accommodation
and made a quick stop at the convenience store on the first floor.
They were selling a fireworks set for ~$11,
so we grabbed one and had a blast with the kids!

We started the fireworks in the plaza,
but when the wind picked up, we moved to the beach for a better experience.
(Pro tip: The beachside is definitely the best spot for fireworks!)
Honestly, we usually don't go out or have evening fun with the kids,
so this was our first time doing fireworks,
and it truly gave us that full-blown vacation feeling!
After all the fun with the fireworks,
the evening felt so much more special and wonderfully complete.
Final Thoughts
St. Tree Hotel's prime location right next to Yeongjongjin Beach and
its charming, ryokan-inspired family twin room were definitely the most impressive aspects.
From playing at the beach before check-in,
to relaxing in the cool room after,
and even grabbing a fireworks set from the convenience store in the evening —
our entire day's itinerary was perfectly filled with activities centered around this one fantastic accommodation.
With an incredible ocean-view terrace and even the glittering bridge's night view,
we truly felt like we were on a proper vacation, even just relaxing inside our room!
If you're looking for a fantastic hotel recommendation on Yeongjongdo, or accommodation conveniently near Incheon Airport,
I wholeheartedly recommend St. Tree Hotel!
