Our recent Gyeongju adventure was a 2-night, 3-day mother-daughter trip.

It was my first time back in Gyeongju since an elementary school field trip, so I was a mix of excited and a little nervous. But choosing Sonokam Gyeongju was truly a stroke of genius!

Deluxe Suite A Room Review

The Deluxe Suite A, which I stayed in, features a double bed in the living area and a single bed in a smaller room, making it perfect for a family of three.

The calm, wood-accented interior, combined with the breathtaking lake view from the window, truly made it feel like the ultimate hotel getaway.

I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the niche perfume brand Amouage amenities and the elegant traditional tea set.

Wellness Pool & Spa: Sunset Views & Natural Hot Springs

This was the part of our Gyeongju trip my mom and I looked forward to the most. The water quality is exceptional, thanks to the alkaline hot spring water drawn from 2,231 feet underground.

The Secret Pool, inspired by the passage of Seokguram Grotto, and the outdoor pool, reminiscent of Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, are absolute hotspots for Instagram-worthy photos!

The atmosphere completely transforms from day to night, so we enjoyed it two days in a row!

Korean Restaurant Sodam & Cafe Orot

The beef brisket seafood steamed cypress set meal at Sodam, the Korean restaurant on the hotel's lower level, was a huge hit with my mom!

Paired with the perfectly cooked stone pot rice, it felt like a healthy and incredibly satisfying meal.

After dinner, a slice of Wolmyeong Mousse Cake at Cafe Orot, while gazing at Lake Bomun, completed our perfect relaxation itinerary.

Having experienced it firsthand, the newly renovated spaces are truly beautiful, making it an ideal destination for friends, couples, or families.

As I mentioned, popular dates like holidays and weekends throughout the year book up incredibly fast!
