I recently visited Cafe de Moim because it’s known for opening early, which is a huge plus for those who like to start their day with a delicious meal. I had previously written about other early-opening brunch spots and cafes in Songdo, but I hadn't had the chance to review Cafe de Moim until now.

Cafe de Moim has always been quite popular, and I heard they had recently moved to a new, nearby location. While Songdo boasts many chain brunch cafes like Brunch Bean, Cafe de Moim stands out. It has a distinct charm, feeling more like a beloved local institution than a typical franchise.

Exterior & Interior Ambiance

Even outside, you can spot fresh cherry tomatoes, adding a lovely, vibrant touch. It truly feels like they open at 7 AM!

The interior is on the smaller side but offers a quiet, cozy atmosphere that's perfect for dining alone.

Given its early opening hours, it was no surprise to see many patrons enjoying a peaceful morning alone. The seating arrangement is thoughtfully designed, making it comfortable for solo guests to enjoy their meal without feeling out of place.

Many brunch spots tend to open later, catering to weekend crowds, so Cafe de Moim's early start is definitely one of its unique selling points.

The Toast: Truly Melt-in-Your-Mouth Soft!

Since the French Toast is their most famous dish, I had to try it, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. It was incredibly soft and tender.

It tasted as if the bread had been soaked in milk for a long time, resulting in a rich, eggy flavor throughout. While many French toasts aim for a 'crispy outside, soft inside' texture, Cafe de Moim's version is soft all over, making for a delightfully smooth eating experience.

Egg Benedict: A Smooth and Flavorful Egg Dish

The asparagus served with the Egg Benedict was surprisingly large! I was curious to try it, and instead of being overly crunchy, it was perfectly grilled, complementing the dish wonderfully.

Once the rich yolk burst, it elevated the savory flavors to another level.

Served on an English muffin, one side featured creamy sauce with a poached egg, while the other had cheese and ham, offering a delightful variety of tastes in every bite.

The coffee here is served in a Stanley cup, which gives a nice, upscale feeling. It's no wonder many reviews mention this unique detail!

It's a small detail, but these touches truly leave a lasting impression. Serving coffee in a Stanley cup instead of a regular glass or mug is uncommon, making it a unique part of Cafe de Moim's character.

This cafe is an excellent choice whether you're looking for a quiet brunch alone or just a relaxing cup of coffee. I originally thought Cafe de Moim was popular simply because it opened early.

However, it offers a serene, almost private ambiance, feeling like a true neighborhood gem for brunch. With its delicious toast, early opening hours, and value-for-money morning sets, it's definitely a compelling spot.
