Seven Stay Pool Villa Gyeongju Review: Budget Pool & BBQ

Last summer, we spent a wonderful 3-day, 2-night vacation at a budget-friendly pension in Gyeongju.

When we visited, it was operating under the name "7th Avenue Pool Villa," but it has recently rebranded as "Seven Stay Pool Villa" for the 2026 season.

While major booking platforms have updated the name to Seven Stay, please note that Naver Maps might still list it under its old name, 7th Avenue Pool Villa (7번가풀빌라).

We opted for Room 214, which features an in-room spa rather than a private pool. To be completely honest, the room itself had a bit of a dated motel vibe, and the bed was quite firm. However, if your main goal is an epic summer pool getaway, the massive and clean outdoor pool makes this place highly recommendable.

The room was generally clean, though if you inspect every nook and cranny, you might spot some minor wear and tear.

Since they rebranded recently, they might have updated some of these interior details since our last stay.

Regardless of the room interior, the outdoor swimming pool is incredibly spacious and well-maintained. If pool time is your priority, you will love it here.

Each room also comes with a generous private BBQ area, making it perfect for grilling up a feast after a long day of swimming.

The pool is truly massive and crystal clear.

We constantly saw the owner—who was incredibly kind and reminded us of a caring father—cleaning the pool area and checking the water quality morning and night.

The pool is open to guests after check-in. If you are staying for multiple nights, you can jump right back in starting at 12:00 PM the next day.

We swam to our heart's content during our two days here. While the pool isn't heated, Gyeongju's summer heat (often reaching over 90°F) meant the unheated water felt perfectly refreshing, even in the late afternoon.

If you are planning a summer getaway to Gyeongju and want a place where you can swim all day without breaking the bank, Seven Stay Pool Villa is definitely worth a look.

While the location might feel slightly secluded at first, it is actually right next to the Cosmic Resort (which opened in 2025) and is only a convenient 10-15 minute drive from downtown Gyeongju.
