Many travelers visiting London often include
Brighton in their tours.
I also visited as part of a tour that combined Seven Sisters and Brighton,
the Southern Tour (Litour)!
Today, I'll introduce you to a must-visit pizza spot in Brighton, UK,
Rudy's Pizza Napoletana!

Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Brighton |
Opening Hours Mon-Thu, Sun 11:45 AM - 9:30 PM Fri-Sat 11:45 AM - 10:30 PM Closed: None |
📍 The Rudy's Pizza we visited is
located near Victoria Gardens.
It's about a 10-minute walk from Brighton Beach,
where most tour buses stop!

From the exterior, I already had a feeling
it would be a clean and pleasant spot.
At the entrance, there was a sign showing
how to enjoy Neapolitan pizza with illustrations.
I walked in, thinking, 'I'll definitely try eating it like that later!'

As expected, the interior was spacious and comfortable.
Don't just grab a seat right away;
wait at the entrance, and a staff member will guide you.

The seating surrounded the central kitchen, allowing us to watch
the pizzas being made and cooked in the wood-fired oven.
Its open design gave us confidence in their hygiene.
We visited in the late afternoon, so it wasn't busy.
However, since there are so many seats, even if you go during peak hours,
it probably won't feel overly crowded!

Menu (Selections) (Units: Pounds) |
[Pizza Varieties] Margherita 10.9 Mozzarella 13.8 Portobello 13.8 Salami 13.9 Triple Pepperoni 15.9 [Side Dishes] Caesar Salad 5.7 Mixed Vegetable Salad 5 Garlic Bread 8.3 Burrata 8.5 |
The main wood-fired pizzas came in a truly wide variety.
Since some names might be unfamiliar, I recommend looking at the ingredients listed
below the menu items before ordering.
Beyond pizzas, they also had a good selection of salads
and simple side dishes!

Drink Menu (Selections) (Units: Pounds) |
Coca-Cola 3.6 Juice (Orange, Apple) 3.6 Americano 3 Latte/Cappuccino/Flat White 3.5 Iced Americano 3.5 Forretti 4.7 / 6.7 Rudy's Pale 4.8 / 6.8 Peroni Alcohol Free 4.8 |
For drinks, they had everything from beers, wines, and cocktails
to sodas and even coffee!
Compared to prices in central London, the overall price range
was about 10% cheaper.

📌 Our Order
Melanzana A Funghetto 15.90 Pounds
Rudys Pale (pint) 6.80 pounds
Poretti (pint) 6.70 pounds
We ordered one pizza and two beers.
The pizza we chose was one of their special menu items,
and we picked it because it felt like something you could only try here.
The staff member recommended the Poretti,
and I figured the Rudys Pale might be a signature, so we gave it a try!

Watching them make the pizza by hand and bake it in the wood-fired oven
made the wait fly by without a single dull moment.

On the table, you'll find hot sauce,
pepper, and a fork & knife.
The hot sauce is an olive oil infused with spicy peppers,
and it was surprisingly spicier than I expected.

The beers arrived before the pizza.
It was the Poretti and the Rudys Pale.
First, the Italian beer recommended by the staff, the Poretti,
was incredibly clean and a perfect lager pairing for pizza.
Choosing to size up from a small was
truly a stroke of genius!

Next up, the Rudys Pale was more refreshing
and had a noticeable citrus flavor.
It wasn't bitter and was so clean that even those who aren't big drinkers
could enjoy it without any hesitation!

Next was the highly anticipated wood-fired pizza!
It was really large, but since it was a thin-crust pizza,
it was definitely enough for two people to finish.

The Melanzana a Funghetto pizza we ordered
was a wood-fired pizza with a ragu sauce base, topped with cheese, basil, and eggplant!

Since it comes out as a whole pizza,
you can cut it yourself into easy-to-eat pieces.
We cut ours into four large slices.
Because the pizza itself is thin, even with large slices,
it didn't feel heavy at all!

As a special pizza, the taste was truly extraordinary.
The perfectly savory ragu sauce, eggplant, and cheese
created a fantastic combination.
It's a flavor that most people would enjoy without strong preferences.
It was surprisingly wholesome, and we finished it feeling very satisfied.

And since the dough itself was from a wood-fired oven,
it was delightfully chewy, so we ate every last bit of the crust.
Honestly, the middle of the pizza was so thin-crust that
we needed to eat the crust to feel fully satisfied!
Still, because it was thin, it felt light,
and it paired so well with the beer that we devoured it in no time.

At Rudy's Pizza,
uniquely, instead of paying by card,
You scan the QR code yourself
and pay with your card number.
It was interesting that you could tip as much as you wanted!
(It's perfectly fine to choose 'No Tips' too.)

For **one wood-fired pizza and two pint-sized beers**,
it was **about 29.4 pounds, or approximately ~$39**.
Considering UK prices, it was a great value and not too heavy on the wallet.
Plus, the pizza dough was wonderfully chewy, and the combination of ingredients
blended perfectly, making it truly satisfying.
What's more, both beers paired wonderfully with the pizza,
and had a clean taste. So if you're undecided,
I'd recommend trying both!
So, if you're traveling to Brighton and looking for a life-changing pizza spot,
be sure to visit Rudy's Pizza!
