Are you planning a trip to London, perhaps for the upcoming Chuseok holiday?

Many people say British food isn't great, so you might be wondering if it's even worth dining out, right?

Well, today I'm here to share seven fantastic restaurants I discovered and loved while traveling in London.

My Top Seven Recommended London Restaurants

1. Flat Iron (Flat Iron Southbank)

Our first must-try spot is **Flat Iron**, arguably the most famous London restaurant among Korean visitors.

It's a chain with locations all over the city, and I personally visited the Southbank branch.

This particular branch is massive, so if you go right when they open, you might not even need a reservation.

Before your main course arrives, the server sets up your table with popcorn and water.

The popcorn is surprisingly delicious and salty – it's dangerously addictive!

We ordered the classic Flat Iron steak, truffle macaroni cheese, and some beer.

As of October 2025, a steak here is only 15 pounds, which is a fantastic price, even compared to prices in Korea.

The steak, served on a warm hot plate, was tender and had a wonderful texture – absolutely delicious.

The portion seemed to be around 150-200g, which was surprisingly generous.

Especially among the side dishes, the truffle macaroni cheese we ordered was sublime. With crispy crunch on top of the gooey mac and cheese, it offered both rich flavor and a delightful texture.

Add a beer to that, and it felt like heaven!

After your meal at Flat Iron, you can also enjoy a free vanilla ice cream.

This ice cream is unexpectedly good – some people even say they go to Flat Iron just for it!

In pricey London, Flat Iron offers quality steak at a reasonable price, so make sure to give it a try!

2. Ben's Traditional Fish & Chips

The second spot is **Ben's Traditional Fish & Chips**, a restaurant located near London's Soho district.

It's situated between the National Gallery and the British Museum, making it the perfect place to pop in for a meal if you're spending a day touring museums and galleries.

London dishes tend to be quite generous in portion, so we decided to order one serving of fish and chips along with a bottled beer each.

The table was equipped with various condiments like mayonnaise, ketchup, and salt.

The fish was truly fresh out of the fryer, piping hot,

crispy on the outside yet moist and flaky on the inside,

it was even more delicious than I had expected.

The fries also had a firm and satisfying texture,

so even though the portion might look small, it was quite filling.

Checking Google Maps reviews lately, it seems many Koreans are visiting.

The staff were incredibly friendly, so you can definitely feel at ease visiting this spot.

3. Five Guys Tower Bridge Branch

Our third must-try spot is Five Guys Tower Bridge Branch.

Honestly, Five Guys is a chain restaurant,

and the food itself isn't particularly unique.

However, this specific branch made it onto our list because you can enjoy a Tower Bridge view from the second floor

without paying extra for the scenery.

One of the best things about Five Guys is that you can grab free peanuts to your heart's content.

Cracking them open one by one before your food arrives makes the waiting time fly by.

They have 'Little Burgers' and regular burgers, and even a 'Little Burger' is larger than a typical burger in Korea, offering decent value for money.

A Little Burger costs around 10 pounds,

while a regular burger is about 12 pounds.

The burgers generally have a universally appealing taste, but because they're packed with more ingredients than you might expect,

you might find them a little dry.

So, even if it's a bit pricey, ordering a drink or two

will make your meal even more enjoyable.

The burgers were delicious, but the Tower Bridge view from the second floor was truly outstanding.

It was incredibly satisfying to enjoy such a fantastic view while dining comfortably without an extra "view fee."

If you're planning to visit Tower Bridge,

you absolutely must dine here!

4. Fuller's Brewery

Our fourth must-visit spot is Fuller's Brewery.

This place is located in Zone 5, on the outskirts of London,

and rather than a restaurant, it's an actual beer factory (brewery).

Since they offer factory tours,

you need to book in advance before visiting,

and it's a place where you can also use your London Pass.

A guided tour here lasts about 50 minutes,

followed by a free tasting session.

It's a spot that hardly any Koreans visit,

and generally doesn't attract many tourists,

so you can truly have a memorable and unique experience.

The reason I've chosen this as a recommended "must-visit" is because of the

30-minute free tasting session that follows the tour.

For 30 minutes, you can enjoy unlimited tastings of approximately 20 different beers produced by Fuller's Brewery.

From sweet beers to wheat beers, lagers,

and even traditional cask ales (real ale)

that are hard to find in Korea, you can try them all here,

making it a truly satisfying experience.

Honestly, it's not the most accessible location,

but if you're a beer lover, I truly hope you'll

make the effort to visit and experience their brews!

5. Honest Burgers (Baker Street Branch)

Our fifth must-try eatery is Honest Burgers.

It's also a chain found throughout London,

and I visited the Baker Street branch.

The burgers here are quite affordable compared to London's prices,

and they come with a generous serving of fries,

so you can really enjoy a satisfying meal.

Plus, you have a great selection of patties including

beef, chicken, and even vegan options. For the beef patty,

you can even choose your preferred doneness.

Personally, I'd recommend the juicy and tender beef patty

that really has that homemade burger feel. And if you're visiting as a pair,

I suggest one of you swaps the fries for a side salad.

Honest Burgers offers a great taste at an affordable price,

plus generous portions that will leave you feeling full.

It's highly recommended for anyone looking for a budget-friendly restaurant!

Our sixth amazing find is The Top Hat Bar,

a fantastic spot located just west of the British Museum.

I decided to visit because with the London Pass,

you get a free cocktail!

The signature cocktail, which was free with the London Pass,

came served in a round, disco ball-like cup.

It was sweet, incredibly refreshing, and absolutely delicious.

Considering its regular price is a hefty 12 pounds,

my satisfaction was incredibly high!

At the time, everyone using the London Pass received

a 20% discount on any additional orders.

With this discount, the price of a draft beer wasn't

much different from what you'd pay in Korea.

The Stella Artois draft beer was also wonderfully cool and crisp,

making for a truly satisfying drink.

If you're using the London Pass, you absolutely *must* check this place out!

7. B Bagle (B Bagle Soho)

Our seventh and final must-try spot is **B Bagle**.

It's a chain with branches all over the city, and I visited the Soho location.

Stepping inside, it truly felt like a bagel specialist, with a delightful array of freshly baked bagels on display.

The fragrant aroma of the bread was absolutely wonderful!

I tried two bagels: the Salt Beef and the Coronation Chicken.

At £8.50 and £6.50 respectively, they were quite affordable considering they make for a full meal.

I actually took these bagels to go and enjoyed them with a beer back at my accommodation.

They were packed with fillings and quite savory, making them an absolutely perfect pairing with beer!

Since they open early in the morning, if there's a branch near you, it'd be perfect to pop in for a light and delicious breakfast!

Today, I've shared my top 7 delicious restaurant discoveries from my trip to London, UK.

While there's a common misconception that British food isn't great, almost all the restaurants serving 'normal' menus that I visited were truly delicious!
