New Zealand Queenstown Accommodation Recommendation
Crowne Plaza Queenstown Review
While traveling around New Zealand, I moved between accommodations quite a bit,
(I tried both hotels and Airbnbs) 🏡
Among them, the first place I stayed in Queenstown was
the Crowne Plaza Queenstown. It was clean, and most importantly,
its location was fantastic, making for an absolutely stellar first impression! 👍🏻

Step out of the hotel, and you're immediately greeted by the stunning Lake Wakatipu,
and Queenstown's bustling town center is just a stone's throw away,
making it incredibly convenient for exploring even without a rental car!
If you're in 🇳🇿 Queenstown, New Zealand,
and looking for a perfectly located place to stay, this is definitely one I'd recommend.
Great Location
📍93 Beach Street, Queenstown 9300 New Zealand

After arriving at Queenstown Airport,
we took a taxi to the hotel.

Seriously, check out this unbelievable location! ;;
✔ Right in front is Lake Wakatipu,
and Fergburger is just a 4-minute walk away!!

A short stroll further leads right into Queenstown's vibrant town center,
perfect for heading out for dinner
or exploring the sights. (Plus, the area felt incredibly safe!)

In Queenstown, you often don't even need a car,
as there are so many fantastic places within walking distance.
It was even great for shopping – I ended up buying some Ugg boots! 🛍️

On the evening of our first day, we headed out for Fergburger,
and it was absolutely divine (I highly recommend one Fergburger a day!) 🍔🍔🍔
They say first impressions are everything when you travel,
and the vibe from that evening is still so vivid in my memory.

On the way back to the accommodation,
I even spotted a group of ducks peacefully sleeping. 🦆
They were absolutely adorable! 🥰
Crowne Plaza Queenstown
Exterior, Lobby

The hotel building itself was more substantial than I'd anticipated.

Stepping into the lobby, the overall first impression was one of impeccable cleanliness and style.
True to a quality hotel, the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming,
and after a quick check-in, we headed straight to our room.

The hotel boasts a 24-hour accessible gym,
and both valet parking and self-parking are available.
🚙
For travelers planning to explore Queenstown and beyond with a rental car,
the parking options here will definitely be a huge convenience.
Our Room's Condition

The room we booked was
a standard room featuring two queen beds.
Since it was a room with a balcony,
I also loved that it felt much more open and less confined.

The bed was in good condition,
and I slept soundly. 💤
I liked that it felt comfortable and clean; it was very tidy.
I didn't experience any particular inconveniences at the accommodation,
and overall, it gave the impression of being very well-maintained.
Bathroom

When choosing travel accommodations,
some people might prioritize the bathroom's condition even more than the room itself,
and personally, I was very satisfied with how clean it was.

As you can see in the photos, the bathroom was tidy and easy to use, and while there was a separate bathtub, the shower area had a curtain installed.
(However, the bathroom itself wasn't super spacious.)

In New Zealand, whether it's a hotel or an Airbnb,
places that seem decent tend to be quite pricey.
You might be able to book a night for around ~$149 to ~$224, but...
✔ ️During peak season, prices can skyrocket, so
it's beneficial to book as far in advance as possible, even more so than in other countries.

Value-for-Money Hotel

There's also another accommodation in Queenstown where I stayed that was a bit more affordable.
It was a bit further from the city center than the Crowne Plaza, but still easily walkable for exploring the city, and the price point was much more budget-friendly.

I'll be sharing a detailed review of it soon,
but if you're curious about the price or room details,

I originally booked with breakfast included,
but I was constantly contacting them until dawn because of my luggage,
and ended up sleeping late, so I missed breakfast ㅠㅠ
Looking at the photos on their website, the breakfast view looks so beautiful
and there seems to be a wide variety of dishes. Please enjoy it for me... *sobs*

The accommodation had a balcony, which made the room feel more open and spacious. When I opened the window on a nice day, the view was absolutely stunning,
allowing me to start my trip in a wonderful mood.
