Hello everyone! Today, for those of you

traveling to Prague, Czech Republic this autumn and winter,

I'm going to share our review of the Vltava River cruise tour, which is how we enjoyed Prague's night views,

along with a Prague night tour I'd like to recommend!

We spent three days in Prague, Czech Republic,

and there was so much to see!

And perhaps because we had just come from Western Europe,

the prices in Prague were incredibly reasonable. The euro

exchange rate has dropped quite a bit too, so if you're planning a trip in September, October,

November, or December this autumn or winter, you're in for a treat!

(Speaking from experience, having visited during high exchange rates! 😅)

Anyway! We wanted to see the night views,

but we weren't sure where the best spots were. We had

rented a car for our trip, but in Prague,

the parking fees were incredibly steep, so we couldn't really

drive around!

Then we discovered a cruise on the Vltava River that offered a night tour,

and it was possible to make a same-day reservation,

so we booked it and went!

On the cruise, we had wine...? Or perhaps champagne...?

Anyway, enjoying a drink while gazing at the night views was absolutely wonderful!

First off, for those contemplating a Prague night tour,

you might be debating whether to take a cruise or a guided night tour!

If your time in Prague is short,

or if you prefer to freely explore more local spots

rather than just tourist hotspots,

then just taking a Vltava River cruise

timed with the sunset for night views

is also a fantastic option.

The price is around ~$15-22, so it's not a burden at all,

and cruising the Vltava for about an hour to see the night views

was quite romantic!

Actually, we were choosing between a couple of cruise tours,

and we opted for the cruise ticket that included a glass of wine

and some snacks!

However, the tour we booked

did provide Prosecco wine and snacks,

but the timing was a bit disappointing.

You could only book it after sunset, so

if you want to see an even more beautiful nightscape,

I recommend choosing the cruise tour below!

The cruise I just recommended above

and time slots are available from 10 AM.

Because they run until 8 PM, it's not just a nighttime affair, which means that

even for those who want to take a cruise during the day,

there are plenty of great options!

By the way, the price is exactly the same, whether you cruise during the day or at night —

it's a fixed rate!

After you've selected your date and time and completed payment,

you'll receive an email with your voucher and

the boarding location. So, when we arrived at the specified time,

there were quite a few people there!

So, we followed the crowd and showed our voucher,

and they exchanged it for a paper ticket. Seats aren't specifically assigned,

so if you want to snag the best seats, coming early

is a great strategy!

But honestly, if you only book the cruise separately like we did

and do a self-guided night view tour, you might not get to see as many places. Things can look

pretty and fascinating, but you won't always know what you're looking at. Because there are many such instances,

I personally recommend a guided night tour!

Because when you think about it, the cruise alone costs ~$20,

while a night tour is ~$26. So, for only about

~$5 more, you get all the beautiful night view spots in the Old Town

explained, restaurant recommendations, the cruise itself,

plus they take you to a bridge where you can see the night view even more beautifully.

It just seems like a much better deal.

2. Prague Vltava River Night Cruise Tour Review

Wandering around the nooks and crannies of Prague's Old Town,

we eventually made our way towards the Vltava River cruise boarding area,

and the walk itself was fascinating!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, right...?

When I travel, even a pebble on the street makes me go

'Wow!', so

everything felt new and exciting!

Anyway, since we didn't have a guide

and just visited on our own, we had to figure everything out for ourselves. So we asked

a staff member, "We booked this, what should we do...?"

They asked to see our booking voucher,

and when we showed them the email, they gave us a physical

ticket, which was nice!

(There's something satisfying about getting a physical ticket for photos, right? Hehe)

But as you can probably tell from the photos now,

we really messed up the timing... hehe.

If, like us, you're not doing a night walking tour but

only booking the cruise separately,

I recommend booking it a bit earlier, about... 30 minutes before sunset?

We scheduled ours for exactly sunset,

but it got completely dark too quickly, which was a bit of a shame!

It got completely dark so fast, so the night view was a bit

disappointing, but a night view is still a night view, right?

It was incredibly romantic!

Included with our cruise ticket were

a glass of Prosecco and some snacks!

The Prosecco was just okay, but the snacks –

I don't know what they were called, but they were delicious!

Passing under Charles Bridge from the cruise,

They broadcasted what was on the left and what was on the right!

But since it was in English,

I didn't quite understand what they were saying,

but I just absorbed the feeling, going 'ooh, wow!'

And the reason the night view is so stunning is because

not only are the tourist attractions lit up, but all the buildings glow with an orange hue.

All the lights are on, so the night view is simply breathtaking!

It just has to be! And then I understood why Prague

is such a holy grail for honeymoons.

While my photos couldn't quite capture it all,

the romance and allure of the city are palpable just from its

night views.

Each table had its own light,

and I snapped this photo as we glided under Charles Bridge.

It was utterly gorgeous and delightful!

Oh, but since it was evening, it was a bit cooler than during the day!

It was quite chilly! While September isn't typically

that cold, enjoying the night view on a cruise

for an hour in the evening can make it feel a bit

cold, so be sure to pack an outer layer!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, right...?

When I travel, every single day is

so precious, and I always wish I had more time.

Especially with a trip to Europe, it involves long-haul

flights, and it's not somewhere you can visit frequently,

so I make sure to enjoy as much as possible!

I thought I'd indulged in so many different experiences,

but looking back now,

I wish I had explored more places near Prague...

I wish I had tried a night view walking tour...

I wish I had even tried a beer spa...

and all I'm left with are a few 'what ifs'!
