Starting from Prague, all the way to Saxon Switzerland and Dresden,

this is a bus tour that covers it all in one day.

They pick you up right from your accommodation, so there's no need to find a meeting point,

and being dropped off right at your hotel door when you return is absolutely fantastic!

I went with the Millie Europe tour, and the male guide was so

friendly that it made the experience even more memorable. He also took great photos..!

All the Dresden insider tips, restaurant and cafe recommendations, and souvenir ideas

were shared with us, so I didn't have to look up anything during the trip.

I was a bit disappointed that I went when it wasn't Christmas market season, but

the city tour was more enjoyable than I expected.

2. Bus Tour vs. Independent Travel

Actually, I also went on an independent trip two years ago.

I went to Prague during the Christmas season,

and with the sole determination to see the Christmas markets,

I took a bus and did an independent trip.

But I implore you, go with a tour...

Going on a tour saves you money and energy...

(I spent a lot of money and was so exhausted from independent travel that the next day was ruined)

2. Difficult to Find Boarding Location for First-Timers

FlixBus doesn't depart from Prague Main Station,

but from Florenc Bus Terminal.

If it's your first time, I found the bus boarding location quite confusing.

Coming back from Dresden was pure chaos...

It was already dark, and the bus stops weren't clearly marked,

so I was utterly exhausted from running around trying to figure out which one was mine ㅠㅠ

3. Safety Concerns When Returning Late

After dinner, it was past 8 PM when I returned to Prague.

Since it was winter, the sun set early, so it was really dark.

I didn't have the energy to find my way from the city bus stop to my accommodation,

and there were a lot of homeless people near the bus stop,

so I immediately hailed an Uber and came back.

The bus tour arrived in Prague just after 7 PM!

They drop you off right in front of your hotel, so there are no safety worries.

If you're traveling with female friends or solo,

I absolutely, without a doubt, recommend the tour!

3. Dresden Christmas Market

The highlight of a trip to Dresden is the Christmas Market!

The 2026 Dresden Christmas Market

will run from November 25th to December 24th.

Operating hours are daily from 10 AM to 9 PM.

December 24th is Christmas Eve,

so it ends at 2 PM—I recommend going before the 23rd!

The atmosphere completely transforms once the lights come on just after sunset,

so it's best to visit the market in the afternoon.

And definitely try the Glühwein and Bratwurst~~~!

After the sun set and the lights came on,

it felt like I had stepped into a dream.

The market scenery was as wonderful as I'd expected,

and the Christmas atmosphere was the best I've experienced in my 30 years🤍
