The benefits included with this pass are surprisingly extensive!

Many of the iconic landmarks I've featured on this blog, such as Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, and Golden Lane, are all covered by this single pass. However, it's important to note that a skip-the-line benefit isn't included, so if you're visiting during peak season, be prepared for potential queues at popular attractions.

3. How to Use & Essential Things to Know

Remember, the pass must be activated before use, and once activated, it's non-refundable. You can activate it directly through the app or by visiting a tourist information center to pick up a physical card. I chose the app activation, which meant I didn't have to make an extra stop for a physical card.

There are a few crucial details to keep in mind when planning your trip:

Many Prague museums are closed on Mondays, and

all buildings in the Jewish Quarter are closed on Saturdays.

Students aged 15-25 should carry a valid student ID, and children aged 6-14 should have an ID ready if requested by a ticket inspector. Many travelers unknowingly miss out on sights due to these closures, so it's a smart move to plan your itinerary in advance, taking these weekly closures into account.

First, let's look at the official prices for the Visitor Pass, as confirmed on the Prague Tourism official website. Note that the official site lists prices in Czech Koruna (CZK), not Euros.

5. My Real-World Experience & Booking Link

I personally put this pass to the test during my trip!

I activated the 48-hour pass directly through the app and used it for two full days. Since the Prague Castle complex ticket—which includes St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, and Golden Lane—was already part of this pass, I didn't need to buy any separate tickets for the castle grounds. It made exploring that entire area incredibly easy! I also made excellent use of public transportation. I even rode the iconic Vintage Tram No. 42 with this pass, and took regular trams multiple times to get around.

Just a heads-up, Tram No. 42 is a special line that circles historical and cultural sites, so it's not included with a standard public transport ticket alone – the Visitor Pass is key here.

To fit so many sights into 48 hours, I definitely found it helpful to plan my route in advance.

From other user reviews, I've gathered that showing the app screen to the inspector was often enough for tram validation. Also, it seems the Prague Castle audio guide isn't included with this pass and needs to be purchased separately.
