Feels like late autumn to early winter in Korea

It's colder than October in Korea.
The perceived weather changes quite a bit between early and late October.
Lightweight padding/down jacket, coat, hoodie, and knitwear are recommended.
First off, Prague's October weather is colder than what we experience in Korea.
While Korea's average high in October can reach up to 20°C,
Prague sees highs of 13°C and lows of 4°C.
You can think of it as feeling like late autumn to early winter in Korea.
The perceived temperature also shows a significant difference between early and late October.
In early October, when the sun is out during the day, it can even feel a little warm.
However, by late October, it generally feels much chillier,
and overcast days become more frequent.
Looking at what people wear in Prague in October,
you'll notice a noticeable shift in attire.
*Please note: This is based on the clothing choices of someone who gets cold easily.

A hoodie, trench coat, or zip-up hoodie is fine during the day.

November in Prague marks the true beginning of winter.
While Korea's high in November hovers around 12°C,
Prague's average high is only 6°C, making it feel significantly colder.
You could say it feels like a slightly milder Korean winter,
but because it's a completely landlocked country without any sea,
you might encounter bone-chilling, cutting winds.
By November in Prague, most of the leaves have fallen, which can make the scenery feel a bit stark.
However, since it's before the peak Christmas season in December,
you can enjoy Prague's tranquil and peaceful atmosphere.
From November onwards in Prague, a padded jacket is essential.
Of course, some locals might not wear one,
but from a Korean perspective, it's definitely padded jacket weather.

Knitwear and a coat should suffice until evening.
✔️ Mid-November
There are more days when a padded jacket is needed all day long.

I wore only a padded jacket.
Feels like full winter in Korea
As I spent October and November in Prague,
I've compiled a list of clothes I personally felt glad to have packed,
and must-have items I wish I had brought along.
Prague, in particular, isn't exactly known for its high-fashion clothing scene,
so I recommend buying any necessary clothes in advance from home.
① Thin Scarf
Honestly, my mom made me bring a scarf, which I reluctantly packed,
but I ended up wearing it almost every single day.
It was incredibly useful, I remember.
This is a total lifesaver that helps you last until evening even on slightly chilly days!
② Lightweight Padded Jacket
I wore my lightweight padded jacket almost every day during my trip,
and it was incredibly versatile for Prague's ambiguously chilly weather.
If a full padded jacket feels too bulky for you, a lightweight padded vest is also a great option,
making it a must-have for anyone who gets cold easily but still wants to dress stylishly.
③ Basic Turtleneck
If you're sensitive to the cold like me, a turtleneck is another must-pack item.
Especially if you're traveling to Prague in late October!
Personally, instead of a very thick turtleneck,
a thin roll-neck top like the one below is just right.
④ Heattech (Thermal Underwear)
If you're traveling in November, Heattech is an absolute must-pack item.
If you prefer to wear coats over bulky padded jackets,
then Heattech becomes an even bigger essential, so don't forget to pack it! : )
⑤ Gloves & Hat
Gloves and a hat were also items I regretted not bringing from home.
Of course, I ended up buying and using them in the Czech Republic,
but I wasn't very satisfied with the design or quality.
It's much better to buy them from home, so prepare them in advance! : )

In early October, a hoodie, trench coat, or zip-up hoodie might suffice during the day. However, from mid-October, a light down jacket becomes necessary, and by late October, a turtleneck and a winter coat are essential.
November in Prague feels much colder, similar to Korea's mid-winter weather. While the maximum temperature in Korea in November is around 12 degrees Celsius, Prague only reaches about 6 degrees Celsius, and being inland, biting winds can also occur.
A thin scarf is highly versatile, to the point where you might wear it almost every day. It's a useful item that can help you withstand the cold until evening, even on days when you're dressed a bit lightly.
As November marks the official start of winter in Prague and it gets very cold, Heattech is an absolute must-have. It's especially essential if you prefer wearing coats over thick padded jackets.
