Korean Air Direct Flight to Prague 2026: Meals & Wi-Fi
My detailed review of Korean Air KE969 direct flight to Prague: schedule, 13-hour journey, delicious in-flight meals, and 2026 Wi-Fi options (free & paid).
Hello, Global Explorers!
After fueling up at the Incheon Airport lounge on my departure day for my Prague-Vienna trip, it was time to board. Today, I'm excited to share my experience flying direct from Incheon to Prague with Korean Air.
If you're planning your Prague airfare, this review covers everything from the direct flight schedule and in-flight meals to Wi-Fi costs and free usage conditions, all in one place.

Incheon-Prague Direct Flight Information
My flight was Korean Air KE969.
On Friday, July 24, 2026, the flight departed from Incheon Airport Terminal 2 at 11:05 AM and arrived in Prague at 5:05 PM local time.
Since it was a morning departure, I had to arrive at the airport early, but landing in Prague before sunset made it easy to get to my accommodation on the first day.
I traveled in July, when the days are long, so I arrived at my hotel before the sun went down. However, if you're planning to visit after October, Prague's sunset times shift earlier, and you might arrive after dark. (When I traveled in an earlier November, it was completely dark upon arrival.)

Item | Details |
Flight Number | Korean Air KE969 |
Flight Schedule | Depart Incheon 11:05 AM → Arrive Prague 5:05 PM (local time) |
Operating Days | Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat (4 times a week, based on 2026 summer schedule) |
Flight Duration | Approximately 13 hours |
Aircraft | Boeing 787-10 |
※ The flight schedule is based on my flight on July 24, 2026, while the operating days and aircraft type are based on the confirmed 2026 summer schedule.
Please note that the schedule changes to winter operations from late October 2026, so be sure to reconfirm before booking.
When searching for Prague flights, direct options often have specific operating days. If your desired travel date doesn't align, you might need to consider connecting flights. If your itinerary allows flexibility, choosing a departure date that offers a direct flight is far more convenient.
In-flight Meals: Two Meals and a Snack
Given the nearly 13-hour flight, we were served two full meals and one snack in between.
The first meal was a delicious pork bulgogi, served with fresh ssam (lettuce wraps) and traditional Korean side dishes. It was a hearty and comforting Korean meal to start the long journey.

The mid-flight snack was a hotdog, branded with the Korean Air logo.
The packaging proudly stated, "Delicious Sausage Hotdog," and it came with a packet of ketchup. It was a perfect light bite to bridge the gap between the two main meals.

For the second meal, served before landing, my travel companion and I received different options.
One tray featured penne pasta with a rich tomato sauce and black olives, while the other offered a chicken dish. Both came with a warm roll, Lurpak butter, blueberry yogurt, and a small dessert, making for a well-rounded and satisfying tray.

In-flight Wi-Fi: Free Usage Conditions and Pricing
※This information is updated as of October 2026.
Korean Air has been offering free in-flight Wi-Fi on select Starlink-equipped flights for all seat classes since September 15, 2026.
However, this service isn't yet available on all aircraft. For your direct Prague flight, the availability of free Wi-Fi, the original paid Wi-Fi service, or no service at all, may vary depending on the specific aircraft used for your flight.
Before your departure, check Korean Air's official in-flight Wi-Fi guide using your departure/arrival locations or flight number to confirm availability. Since aircraft can sometimes change on the day of travel, it's always a good idea to double-check once you're on board.
My flight on July 24, 2026, was before the free service began.
Below are the Wi-Fi pricing screens I photographed at the time, which still reflect the original paid Wi-Fi service rates for European routes as listed in Korean Air's official guidance. These rates do not apply to Starlink-equipped flights offering free service.
One of my biggest curiosities for a long-haul flight was the in-flight Wi-Fi. When I accessed the Korean Air Wi-Fi page on my phone, three different plans were displayed:
Plan | Price | Usage Scope |
Internet Full Flight | $20.95 | Web browsing, music, video streaming, sending photos via messenger |
Internet 2 Hours | $10.95 | Same functions as above, for 2 hours |
Messaging Full Flight | $5.95 | Text chat only (no photos or videos) |
※ These are the screens photographed during my flight in July 2026, and reflect the original paid service rates as compared with official guidance on October 2, 2026.
Please refer to these rates if you are on a non-Starlink equipped aircraft that still offers the paid Wi-Fi service.

If you're on a flight using the older paid service and only want to send quick messages to family and friends, the Messaging plan is sufficient. However, if you need to send work emails or share photos during your flight, an Internet plan would be the better choice.
The same page also conveniently displayed the remaining flight time to our destination.

Seat Monitor and Flight Map
The seat-back monitor offered a selection of movies and TV shows, along with a separate menu to connect your phone. As I had a window seat, I snapped several photos of the clouds and wing outside. As we neared landing, I kept the flight map open to track our remaining time and estimated arrival in Prague.

My Experience and Recommendation
While 13 hours is certainly a long flight, the biggest advantage was arriving in Prague without any layovers.
There's no need to worry about collecting luggage and transferring at a connecting airport, or stressing about tight connection times. Landing directly means you can proceed straight to immigration, which adds a wonderful sense of ease to your first day's itinerary. Plus, having a delicious Korean meal served mid-flight was a comforting touch during the long journey.
When choosing your Prague airfare, I highly recommend looking beyond just the price and also considering the specific days direct flights operate and their arrival times. For details on the immigration process and EES registration I went through after arriving at the airport, you might find my previous posts helpful.
