Of course, I haven't stayed in every single area,
but **I know the local vibe better than a typical traveler**, so
I've tried to include as much detail as possible to help you choose your perfect stay : )

The heart of Prague tourism, near the Astronomical Clock
Ideal for walking tours
Recommended if your travel itinerary is short

Near Prague Main Station, shopping malls, relatively pleasant
Recommended if you're traveling to nearby areas

Near Prague Castle, relatively quiet and quaint
Recommended if atmosphere is important to you
While Prague isn't as large as Vienna,
it's also **not so small** that you won't need public transport,
like Seville.
So, your satisfaction can vary greatly depending on your accommodation's location.
Thankfully, Prague generally has **good public safety**, so
you can simply choose a place that suits your travel style and situation.

Old Town is **perfect for planning your travel itinerary**, being close to the **Prague Astronomical Clock, Old Town Hall, and Havel's Market**, and conveniently located between New Town and Prague Castle.
With many shops and a lively atmosphere, it's wonderful to explore the alleys, though it's **true that it can get a bit crowded** with tourists.
Nevertheless, accommodation in Prague's Old Town is the top recommendation for those **visiting Prague for the first time or on a short trip**!

For those planning day trips from Prague
The New Town offers a modern vibe compared to the Old Town.
You can think of it as the area around Wenceslas Square,
where many shopping spots are gathered, giving it the feel of a bustling shopping district.
However, the streets are wider than in the Old Town,
giving it a relatively comfortable and spacious feel!
From Wenceslas Square, Prague Main Station is an 8-minute walk,
and Florence Bus Terminal is just a 20-minute tram ride away.
For those moving on to another city after Prague, or
planning a day trip to nearby Cesky Krumlov or similar destinations,
staying in the New Town is very convenient.

The Malá Strana district is located west of Charles Bridge,
and it's the area where Prague Castle is situated.
Compared to the Old Town and New Town, it has a wonderfully quaint and quiet charm.
Personally, this is my most recommended accommodation location in Prague!
There are also many beautiful cafes with delicious offerings : )
However, this area has many sloping alleys,
so checking Street View is a must before booking your accommodation!
You don't want to end up drenched in sweat dragging your luggage uphill like I did!
Of course, getting to Charles Bridge or the Old Town
might involve taking a tram or a 10-20 minute walk,
but I still highly recommend it as it's a romantic area with a truly local feel.
