As one of Prague's must-visit spots, Pork's offers seating both inside and in an outdoor area leading into the main restaurant. During peak times, both sections can fill up quickly, leading to a wait. To minimize your waiting time, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance via Google Maps. You'll receive an email confirmation, which is super convenient for planning your visit.
🍖 Quick Bite: What is Koleno?
Koleno is a traditional Czech dish featuring a whole pork knee, roasted to crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside perfection. While it might remind some of a slow-cooked pork hock, the key difference is that Koleno is roasted, not boiled, giving it a unique texture. This hearty dish has been a favorite among locals since medieval times, often enjoyed with a refreshing Czech beer!
Stepping further into Pork's Prague, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the impressive brewing area and the large tanks where their fresh draft beer is stored. While we admired the rustic interior, a friendly staff member quickly showed us to our table.
The restaurant largely uses indirect lighting, creating a cozy, slightly dim ambiance rather than a brightly lit space. The brewing station boasts a variety of spirits, and the beer, poured fresh right there, was absolutely delicious.
Pork's in Prague offers a spacious interior with generously spaced tables, so we never felt cramped. My only minor gripe was the restroom situation – there was a bit of a wait, which was a slight inconvenience.

Our Recommended Dishes at Pork's
Our dishes at Pork's Prague arrived in stages. The ribs and Schnitzel came out surprisingly quickly, while the show-stopping Koleno followed shortly after.
Our table was neatly set with cutlery and plates, perfect for sharing all the delicious food.
The Schnitzel
This Czech Schnitzel was a fantastic surprise! It reminded me of a classic breaded cutlet, pounded thin and served generously. The portion size was substantial, and for three guys sharing three dishes, we were all comfortably full without feeling like we’d overspent. It offered great value for the amount of food.
Pork's Mouth-watering Ribs
The ribs at Pork's are absolutely divine, similar to what you'd expect from a perfectly cooked rack of baby back ribs. They were exactly to my liking, and my friends and I even debated ordering a second portion!
The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, practically falling off the bone. Delicious on its own, with the accompanying sauce, or even piled onto a slice of fresh baguette – every bite was a winner.
The Star of the Show: Koleno
This is hands-down Pork's most popular dish and a must-try for anyone visiting Prague! From the moment it arrived, the Koleno was a showstopper, practically begging for an Instagram photo. Served with a knife dramatically plunged into the center, it truly makes for an unforgettable presentation.
The meat itself was incredibly tender and succulent, effortlessly peeling off the bone despite being roasted. The quality of the pork was excellent, and that crispy skin, paired with the juicy interior – pure perfection!
The Schnitzel portion was much larger than we anticipated, and we ended up leaving a bit towards the end. Honestly, the Koleno and ribs alone would have been plenty for three people – we might have over-ordered a little!
While Koleno can be quite rich, pairing it with a refreshing beverage is key. A cold Czech beer would have been a fantastic complement, but we opted for a Royal Crown Cola, which they also offer. The Royal Crown bottle had a unique, cool design, and the taste was similar to a classic Coca-Cola.
If you're planning a trip to Prague, Pork's is an absolute must-visit to experience authentic Czech cuisine.
The value for money is exceptional, and if I ever find myself back in Prague, I wouldn't hesitate to make a return visit.
