Discover why Point A Hotel Paddington is the ultimate budget-friendly base for your London adventure, offering unbeatable transit links and cozy rooms.

Finding a budget-friendly hotel in London that doesn't compromise on location can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. But I think I've found a winner.
For my recent trip to London, this hotel's location was absolutely perfect, and the breakfast was surprisingly good!

☑️ Best of all, Hyde Park was just a short half-mile stroll away
(about a 10-minute walk), making my mornings unforgettable.
✅ You can reach Paddington Station in just 15 minutes via the Heathrow Express, making this the ultimate budget-friendly base for exploring the city and beyond.

Dragging luggage through cobblestone streets is no fun, but thankfully, this hotel is a breezy 5-minute walk (around 0.25 miles) from Paddington Station.

Paddington Station itself is incredibly clean, spacious, and bustling with energy.
🏡 POINT A Hotel Paddington
The hotel sign is super easy to spot right from the street!

I booked this spot because the reviews praised the clean rooms and the tasty breakfast—and they weren't wrong.
Before heading out to Hyde Park, I popped down for breakfast and found the dining area already buzzing with fellow travelers.

Everyone was up so early! I almost didn't snag a seat.

The spread was fantastic—fresh pastries, cereal, fruit, and more.
Given London's reputation for pricey, underwhelming food, this breakfast was an absolute lifesaver. 💯

Fueled up on coffee, I was ready to hit the park.

The route to the park is lined with beautiful spring blooms.

I even made a little squirrel friend! The morning walk from the hotel to Hyde Park was so peaceful and ended up being one of my favorite memories.
It felt like wandering through an authentic, quiet London neighborhood, far from the tourist crowds.

✅ I actually ended up walking all the way from Hyde Park to Buckingham Palace.
The weather was absolutely perfect for a long, scenic stroll. 🚶♀️

A huge plus: the hotel has an elevator! (If you've traveled in Europe, you know this is a luxury). It made hauling my bags up to the room a breeze.
The room itself was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

Honest, out-of-pocket review! ⭐
I booked this room for ~$154 per night (for 2 people), which is a steal for central London.
If you travel during the off-season, you can sometimes snag rooms for as low as ~$115 a night.

🚊 Besides Paddington, Edgware Road Station is also just a stone's throw away.
There's also a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it super easy to hop on one of London's iconic red double-decker buses.

Big Ben looking majestic against the clear blue sky, and the stunning evening cityscapes.

I visited Tower Bridge twice. Just a quick heads-up: it can be a hotspot for pickpockets, and sometimes locals will warn tourists about using tripods. (Stay vigilant!)

One of the most convenient perks was the large supermarket right across the street.
There are also plenty of convenience stores on the walk back from the station, perfect for grabbing bottled water, late-night snacks, or fresh fruit.
Point A Hotel London Paddington

When it was time to head home, getting back to Heathrow took only 15 minutes.
Even with an early morning flight, the commute was totally stress-free. Plus, Paddington is the perfect launchpad for day trips to the Cotswolds, Oxford, or Bath.
With Big Ben and Hyde Park within walking distance, and seamless transit to London Bridge and the London Eye, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to maximize their travel budget without sacrificing convenience.
