Stepping inside, I was immediately charmed by the restaurant's adorable and beautifully decorated interior. Even my dad, who rarely comments on aesthetics, remarked on how well-designed the place was, which says a lot!

Another huge plus for me was the abundance of tables perfect for solo diners. If you're craving pho and happen to be exploring by yourself, this is an ideal spot.

I visited with my dad, so we settled at a two-person table. Ordering was super convenient—we just scanned the QR code on our table. After some deliberation, we decided on the Premium Pho, Grilled Beef Brisket Pho, Scallop *Chả giò* (fried spring rolls), a Saigon beer, and a Coke.

Our order arrived, filling the table with a delightful spread! ❤️

Eager to dive into our delicious pho, we quickly prepared our hoisin sauce and hot sauce. Hoisin is perfect for a sweet and savory kick, while hot sauce adds a spicy punch. But seriously, make sure you taste the original broth first—it's incredibly flavorful and delicious on its own!

The pickled onions served alongside the pho were also a perfect complement. ❤️

Premium Pho

This was my dad's choice: the Premium Pho. It featured a deeply simmered broth topped generously with tender brisket, flank, and tendon.

The broth was incredibly savory and clean, which my dad absolutely adored. He's usually not a big fan of pho, but he kept exclaiming how delicious Pho Lab's was! ❤️ He also loved how much meat was packed into the bowl.

He kept praising it, so I had to sneak a taste, and indeed, the clean broth was simply the best! 👍🏻

Grilled Beef Brisket Pho

This was my pick, the Grilled Beef Brisket Pho. The sheer mountain of meat on top was visually stunning and instantly won me over.

The beef was incredibly tender, and there was a generous amount of noodles, which I loved. But what truly blew me away was ❤️

The broth! ❤️ I usually worry that dishes with a lot of meat can be greasy, so I hesitated a bit before ordering, even though it's a signature item. But wow... it wasn't greasy at all! The flavor was rich and utterly delicious.

I always order a Coke with my meals, so I did again today... but I was so engrossed in the broth that I barely touched my soda! My dad even had to tell me to stop, saying I was embarrassing him. Haha! Even writing this post, I'm still thinking about that incredible flavor.

Scallop Chả giò

For our side dish, we decided on the Scallop *Chả giò*. Sometimes, these fried spring rolls look crispy but aren't, but Pho Lab's were genuinely crunchy! I loved them so much, I ended up eating two and only gave one to my dad (oops!).

As for drinks, befitting a Vietnamese restaurant, they offered Saigon and Hanoi beer. I ordered a Saigon for my dad, and he loved it, saying it felt just like we were enjoying pho in Vietnam.

The reason I highly recommend Pho Lab in Gurae-dong isn't just because their pho is delicious. They offer FREE refills of noodles, bean sprouts, and even rice! Plus, if you're dining with children, they provide a FREE kids' pho. This place is an absolute must-visit for anyone with a hearty appetite!
