Hey fellow travelers! Today, I'm excited to share my honest take on the 'Airport Solo Pack' I grabbed at Cafe Villa de Charlotte, conveniently located on the 3rd floor (Departures) of Gimpo Airport. It's a spot many of you might consider for a pre-flight bite or coffee, so let's dive in!

I had an early morning flight and was feeling a little peckish!

Wandering around, Villa de Charlotte caught my eye, and they were offering 'Airport Solo Packs' and 'Couple Packs' that included a sandwich and coffee. Sounded promising at first! (Spoiler alert: I wouldn't really recommend the pack itself, but keep reading for why!)

What is great, though, is the fantastic airplane view right next to the cafe – perfect for snapping some cool photos or getting some work done on your laptop before boarding. If you're pondering where to grab a coffee or set up shop at Gimpo Airport's departure level, this post is for you!

1. Cafe Villa de Charlotte Gimpo Airport Domestic Terminal: Location, Hours, Menu & Vibe

Cafe Villa de Charlotte at Gimpo Airport's Domestic Terminal is strategically located on the 3rd floor, right in the heart of the boarding area. Once you've cleared security and gone through bio-registration, you'll spot it immediately.

Its operating hours are truly a lifesaver for early birds, running from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. If you've got a pre-dawn flight like I did, this spot is a definite contender for your morning caffeine fix.

The menu features standard coffee drinks, a selection of sandwiches, and some tempting cakes. But what truly grabbed my attention was the 'Airport Solo Pack!' This combo, including a sandwich, coffee, and a sweet potato bar, cost ~$10. Naturally, I had to try it out!

A regular Americano here will run you about ~$4. Hey, it's an airport, so you just have to accept the premium pricing, right?

The view from Villa de Charlotte is definitely a highlight – you get an unobstructed panorama of the airplanes! With the floor-to-ceiling windows, it's a fantastic spot for some aviation photography.

Even at 6:00 AM, the place was already bustling, with many seats taken and travelers busy snapping photos of the tarmac. I certainly joined in on the photo-taking fun!

And what was a bit unique was the presence of individual computer workstations.

If you're in a pinch and need to access a computer, these could be a real lifesaver!

Beyond the workstations, there are various seating options, including standard tables and larger round communal tables. Crucially, almost every seat has a power outlet nearby, making it an excellent spot for some pre-flight laptop work or charging your devices.

2. My Honest Take on the Gimpo Airport Solo Pack at Villa de Charlotte

Voila! My 'Airport Solo Pack' arrived, featuring a ham and cheese baguette, an iced Americano, and a sweet potato bar.

Let's talk about the ham and cheese baguette first. To be honest, it was just... okay. Better than your average convenience store refrigerated sandwich, but definitely nothing to write home about. I was a bit underwhelmed, to say the least.

It wasn't terrible, but for the price, I found myself thinking, 'Would I really order this again?' I even had a moment of regret, wishing I'd just gone for a burger at Lotteria on the 4th floor of Gimpo Airport instead.

The baked sweet potato bar that came with it? I can tell you unequivocally: it was not good, haha!

I'm not usually a fan of these types of bars, but this one was particularly unappetizing. I ate it anyway, just because it was there, but it certainly didn't spark joy.

And finally, the coffee! This, I can happily report, was the best part of the whole pack. Definitely the highlight!

So, if you're heading to Cafe Villa de Charlotte at Gimpo Airport, my advice is to skip the 'Airport Pack' unless you're truly desperate. Instead, I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a solid cup of coffee, a great airplane view, and a comfortable spot to get some work done on your laptop.
