It took about 45 minutes by car from Nimman Haemin, Chiang Mai, and the Grab taxi fare was 204 Baht (about ~$6).

The slightly longer drive is totally worth it, though, as it makes you feel deeply immersed in nature. As soon as we arrived, we hopped onto a buggy to head up to the resort lobby.

The moment we stepped into the main lobby, we were greeted with the warmest, friendliest hospitality, which instantly set a wonderful tone for our stay.

Here's the resort map. The property is quite vast, but you can just call a buggy to take you anywhere you want, so getting around was incredibly convenient and hassle-free.

Since it was the low season, they also gave us a welcome drink coupon for a free cocktail at the pool bar!
Room Tour: Bathroom & Amenities

The Panviman pool villas are completely private, detached units, which is probably why they're so popular for family trips and honeymoons.

Room Layout
The room itself is incredibly spacious.
While you can spot some minor signs of age here and there, it actually adds to the charming, traditional Lanna-style aesthetic unique to Chiang Mai.

The bed was massive—easily big enough for three people—and there was a cozy Lanna-style daybed by the window, making it the perfect spot to lounge and unwind.

If anything, the rustic look fit the nature-surrounded resort vibe much better than a sterile, ultra-modern hotel would. They even provided an air purifier in the room!

With ceilings towering over 3 meters high, the space felt incredibly open, grand, and airy.

They leave you a welcome snack, and it's this incredibly tasty rice cracker—you absolutely have to try it!

Aside from the bottled water, all other drinks and snacks in the minibar come with an extra charge.

Inside the spacious wardrobe, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable resort stay—including slippers, an umbrella, a cute rattan bag, and indoor slippers.

The Bathroom
The bathroom and toilet area were incredibly spacious, and the tub even has a spa function—making it feel absolutely perfect for a romantic honeymoon getaway.

The heavy use of natural wood throughout the space really enhances that lush, "sanctuary in nature" resort vibe.

All the essential amenities are fully stocked, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash had the most amazing, refreshing scent.

You can access the private pool directly from the bathroom, which is such a brilliant layout! It makes it so easy to jump straight into the shower right after a swim.
Our Private Pool Villa

One of the highlights of Panviman Resort that totally exceeded my expectations was our private pool villa pool.
The pool was surprisingly long and spacious, making it perfect for actual swimming. I had read some reviews mentioning the water can be chilly since the resort is tucked away in the mountains, but during our stay in June, it felt wonderfully warm under the midday sun. I almost wondered if they had upgraded it to a heated pool!

The view from the room felt incredibly reminiscent of Ubud in Bali, which I visited not too long ago, and I absolutely loved it. Personally, I'm much more of a mountain person than an ocean person!
If you're looking to swim in peace, curl up with a good book, and just completely unwind, a pool villa is definitely the way to go.
The Main Pool

The main pool has a stunning two-tiered design, and right next to it, there's a cozy, warm jacuzzi.

Again, despite reviews warning about cold water, we found it perfectly pleasant in June—in fact, the jacuzzi felt delightfully hot!

Since it was the off-season, we practically had the entire pool to ourselves! Sipping on our welcome cocktails by the water was the ultimate definition of peace and pure relaxation.

*I guess off-season travel really is the way to go! haha*
Oh, and if you're hanging out at the pool, you absolutely cannot miss the Meditation Cave!
The Meditation Cave

This is easily the most iconic spot at Panviman Chiang Mai. Watching the cascading waterfall feels like stepping straight into a scene from Avatar.
It can get a bit slippery, so definitely watch your step, but listening to the rushing water truly feels like a soul-cleansing experience. Plus, it's the ultimate photo spot—so make sure to check it out!
