Let’s dive into Northeast’s operating hours, must-try menu items, and more to help you plan your visit.

The restaurant spans two floors, and the friendly staff will guide you to your table.
You’ll often hear a lively K-Pop music medley playing throughout the restaurant. Northeast is incredibly popular with international visitors, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for everyone!
It feels like a true melting pot of global explorers coming together for fantastic food.
2. Menu Highlights

Northeast boasts an extensive menu, so it’s a good idea to check out popular recommendations before your visit.
While there’s a simplified menu featuring their signature dishes, don’t hesitate to explore the full menu for hidden gems!

📌 Northeast Recommended Dishes
• Boneless Phu Phad Pong Curry ~$11 (Shell-on version ~$6)
• Crab Fried Rice (Small) ~$8
• Morning Glory ~$2
• Watermelon Shake (Tangmo Pan) ~$2
• Chicken Wings ~$3
• Garlic Fried Shrimp ~$5
✔ Phu Phad Pong Curry is Northeast Bangkok’s signature dish. It comes in two versions: shell-on and boneless. If you enjoy the texture of the crab shell, go for the shell-on. But if you prefer to simply scoop up and savor the curry without any fuss, the boneless option is perfect.
✔ There are also various versions of Morning Glory. The first option on the simplified menu often comes with shrimp and is a bit pricier. If you want the classic, more affordable version (around ~$2), ask for the basic stir-fried Morning Glory from the main menu.

If you’re looking for drinks beyond what’s on the simplified menu, consult the thicker, main menu for more options.
3. Our Dining Experience at Northeast

The Watermelon Shake (Tangmo Pan) at Northeast is generously sized, so it’s perfect for two people to share.
I’m not usually a huge fan of watermelon, but Northeast’s Tangmo Pan is so refreshingly cool and sweet that it goes down incredibly smoothly!

For our Phu Phad Pong Curry, we opted for the boneless version.
While some people love the crunchy texture of the shells, I personally find myself picking them out, which takes away from the enjoyment. 🤣
With the boneless version, I could just easily scoop up spoonfuls of delicious curry without any interruptions – it was so much more relaxing to eat.

Phu Phad Pong Curry doesn’t come with rice, so you’ll need to order it separately. The Crab Fried Rice is the perfect accompaniment!
Even the small (S) size was enough for our group of four. If you're dining solo or with a small appetite, I recommend ordering a simple steamed rice for about ~$0!

The Pad Thai at Northeast Bangkok was a solid choice.
While it didn’t blow us away, it’s a great introduction to the dish if you’re trying Pad Thai for the first time.

Morning Glory, with its crisp texture and savory umami, pairs well with any dish. It’s a staple side that I find myself ordering almost every time I visit a Thai restaurant, much like a comfort food.
We ordered ours with a hint of spice, and it complemented the sweet Phu Phad Pong Curry even better!

The Chicken Wings were crispy and delicious, reminiscent of the sweet and savory honey-glazed wings you might find at popular fried chicken spots.
They were all wing portions, making the meat tender and flavorful.
4. Insider Tips for Your Visit

While specific promotions, like the 10% discount previously offered for certain mobile carriers, may come and go, it's always a good idea to check for any current discounts or loyalty programs that might be available to international visitors before your visit to Northeast.

I hope this review of Northeast Bangkok has been helpful!
It’s a place I consistently revisit on my Bangkok trips because the food is always delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time.
If you have leftover Watermelon Shake, you can even get it to-go! Enjoying it while watching the monitor lizards in Lumpini Park right outside is a perfect way to end your meal. Make sure to check it out on your next Bangkok adventure!

The Pu Pad Pong Curry costs 495 Baht for the boneless version and 295 Baht for the shell-on version. Since rice is not served with the curry, it is recommended to order crab fried rice or a regular bowl of rice for 20 Baht to go with it.
The watermelon smoothie costs 100 Baht and the portion is very large, so it is best for two people to share one. You can get the leftover drink to-go, which is perfect to enjoy while taking a walk in the nearby Lumphini Park after your meal.
It is known that a 10% SKT membership discount is available, but it may not be applicable depending on the restaurant's circumstances or promotional periods. It is recommended to check the availability of the discount for Northeast in Thailand through the Global Travel menu on the SKT membership app before your visit.
