The space is actually much larger than it looks in these photos, but I couldn't capture every corner because there were quite a few locals enjoying their meals.

With its bright, spacious layout, it's the perfect spot for family get-togethers, team dinners, or casual hangouts with friends.

In fact, the table right next to us was hosting a lively group dinner! 🧡

The Menu

True to its name, the main stars of the menu are Budae Jjigae (army stew) and Dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken).

But I came here for one specific reason: the legendary fusion of Dakgalbi and seafood black bean noodles!

Without hesitation, we ordered the Dakgalbi (Regular Spicy, 2 servings) along with the Instant Seafood Jajangmyeon, which is famous for being the ultimate sidekick to the spicy chicken.

As soon as we ordered, a colorful spread of traditional side dishes arrived.

The initial serving is already very generous, but if you need refills...

...you can head over to the self-serve bar! 🧡

Everything was sparkling clean and fully stocked, which is always a great sign.

What immediately caught my eye was the incredible quality of the wrapping lettuce. 🧡

With recent vegetable prices rising, many places skimp on greens or serve wilted ones, but the lettuce here was incredibly crisp, vibrant, and fresh.

Next up was a massive bowl of Gyeran-jjim (Korean steamed egg). While most restaurants charge extra for this nowadays, it comes included here! It was perfectly savory, fluffy, and exactly how I like it.

And then came the fish cake skewers (Oden) in hot broth! 🍢

I'm actually pretty picky when it comes to fish cakes, but these were delightfully chewy, and the broth was deeply flavorful.

Are you ready for the main event yet? Well, not quite!

First, I have to show you the complimentary Kimchi Pancake (Kimchijeon).

The batter is so well-prepared that even a terrible cook like me can pan-fry it to crispy perfection. 🧡

And yes, this delicious pancake is entirely free! I honestly wonder how the owner makes a profit...

After indulging in all the amazing appetizers, the star of the show finally made its grand entrance: our iron-skillet Dakgalbi! 🧡

I know I've been talking a lot about the side dishes, but look at the main course—the raw ingredients are incredibly fresh. Easily some of the best quality I've seen. 🧡

The friendly staff cooks everything right at your table, so all you have to do is sit back, relax, and wrap the juicy chicken in those fresh lettuce leaves.

Even on its own, this Dakgalbi easily beats out most specialty shops in the area.

But remember, the real reason we came here is the legendary pairing with seafood Jajangmyeon!

Right as we started eating the chicken, a steaming plate of black bean noodles packed with fresh seafood was served.

Just look at this combination!

It's a highly unusual yet absolutely mouth-watering culinary mashup. 🧡

The noodles are perfectly chewy, the seafood is incredibly fresh, and the black bean sauce is rich and savory.

But when you mix the sweet-savory Jajang sauce with the spicy, robust Dakgalbi sauce... wow.

It is an absolute flavor game-changer! ✨

Whether you eat them separately, mix them together, or wrap them both in a crisp piece of lettuce, you really can't go wrong. Find your favorite combination!

Ham Fried Rice

By this point, my dad and I were already bursting at the seams because the portions here are massive.

But the sauce left in the pan was so incredibly delicious that we knew we'd regret it forever if we didn't get fried rice.

We told ourselves we'd just have a bite and ordered a single portion of the Ham Fried Rice (Bokkeumbap).

And oh my goodness... it was so savory and delicious that we ended up polishing off the entire skillet. Do not skip this!

No matter how full you are, ordering the fried rice is an absolute must. ✨

A Paradise for Food and Drink Lovers

Here's another reason to love this place: while other spots are raising their drink prices, you can still get a bottle of beer or soju here for just ~$3!

It's the perfect spot to enjoy a budget-friendly drink with your meal.

More of a soda fan? They serve Coca-Cola in generous plastic bottles rather than tiny cans. 🧡 Highly satisfying!

Also, if you leave a quick review, they'll gift you a bag of sweet barley crackers (Bori Gangjeong). They are perfectly sweet and crunchy—definitely join the event to snag a bag!

From the incredibly generous side dishes to the mind-blowing main course combo, everything about this meal was outstanding.

Whenever I crave Dakgalbi in Gyeonggi-do, this is the only place I'm heading to.
