How to Get to Matina General Lounge

International travel is always a joy!
The entrance to the Matina General Lounge at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 is
after you've completed immigration procedures,
opposite KFC and near Gate 5.

You'll see a large Matina Lounge banner prominently displayed.
Take the escalator opposite KFC,
and the Matina Lounge will be right there – super easy to find!
Entry

So, what was the wait like for the Matina General Lounge on a late Saturday evening?
I actually managed to enter after waiting for about 10 minutes.
(Entered at 8:30 PM on a Saturday)
Packages & Card Benefits

Many travelers can enjoy complimentary lounge access through credit card benefits or platform perks like Trip.com. The lounge provides clear guidance to double-check your eligibility before entry.
And for those who aren't eligible,
‼️you can purchase and use your tickets for the Incheon Airport Matina & Sky Hub Lounge at a discounted price directly from Klook‼️

Right next to the Matina General Lounge waiting line,
you'll find the Walkerhill Transit Hotel conveniently located,
and they even offer Matina Lounge + Transit Hotel packages.
This seems especially convenient for transit passengers!
Opening Hours: 7:00 AM ~ 10:00 PM
(Food & Beverage Service Hours: 7:30 AM ~ 9:30 PM)

Entry after confirming your pass and boarding ticket at the information desk.
Since I entered at 8:30 PM, I definitely felt the closing time approaching.
While it's open until 10:00 PM,
they announced that food and beverages are served until 9:30 PM, with the lounge closing at 10:00 PM!
Additionally, for Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Matina General Lounge, please note the ✅️ shower room operating hours:
7:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM (last entry at 7:30 PM). Just so you know!
Matina General Lounge Seating

And just like that, we're inside the Matina General Lounge!
While the seating might not be super spacious, it's definitely
comfortable enough to enjoy a meal and relax without feeling cramped.

It felt more spacious than I initially imagined,
and with a variety of seating — from cozy two-person spots to larger four-person tables and even perimeter seating —
finding a comfortable place was a breeze.
Food & Beverages

Kicking things off with an overall impression: true to the Walkerhill standard, the Matina lounge truly
delivered on both variety and taste – utterly satisfying!

✅️ For cold dishes, think a refreshing spread of various salads and homemade yogurts,
all beautifully and neatly presented.

✅️ When it came to hot dishes, the lineup was absolutely perfect for a full meal, featuring rice and noodles, stir-fries, Tteokbokki, various fried items, and comforting soups and stews!
Even dishes that can sometimes fall flat, like pasta and fried rice, were surprisingly good, definitely above average.
✅️ You'll also find a Bibimbap corner complete with a selection of various pickled side dishes.
Oh, and that fermented squid? Absolutely divine, seriously! 😂

✅️ As for cup noodles, during my visit, Jin Ramyun and Chapagetti Bumbuk were on offer.

✅️ The bakery corner, ✅️ a tempting array of desserts like cakes and cookies, and ✅️ a good selection of fruits were all there,
making it absolutely perfect for a quick, satisfying snack before boarding your flight.

Beyond the tea bags by the cup noodle station,
✅️ the beverage selection was vast, offering juices, coffee, and sodas, plus
canned drinks like Ssaek Ssaek, Gatorade, and sparkling water. And for those who enjoy a tipple,
there were plenty of alcoholic options too, including draft beer, wine, and highballs – truly something for everyone!
They even had snacks thoughtfully provided to pair with your alcoholic drinks.
✔️ Fun fact: the beer is poured from the bottom up!
✔️ Water is readily available from a purifier.

Overall, I genuinely felt that the taste and quality here were among the best of airport lounges!
Compared to the Sky Hub, I got the impression that the food was a notch above, taste-wise... 😉
And it certainly made sense why the waiting line tends to be a bit longer here.
So long as you arrive without sky-high expectations, you'll find it to be a thoroughly satisfying experience.
Amenities

As for the Matina General Lounge's amenities,
you'll find a shower room, a massage zone, an exclusive area for transit hotel packages, and, of course, restrooms.

And check out the exclusive zone for transit hotel packages – it looks like it would be much less crowded, offering a more comfortable retreat!
The shower room and massage zone are conveniently located together.
The shower facilities are available either by separate reservation or on a first-come, first-served basis,
a huge perk for anyone looking to freshen up before a long-haul flight!

And guess what? There's even a private restroom right inside, making things super convenient!
Final Thoughts

The Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Matina General Lounge
offers impressive food quality,
and is also equipped with great amenities like shower rooms and massage rooms,
making it a place definitely worth exploring if you have some time to spare!
✅️ Just a heads-up though: be prepared for potentially long waiting times during peak hours,
and if your flight time is tight, the Sky Hub Lounge, with its faster turnover rate, might be a better choice!
