Macao Open-Top Night Bus Tour: Best Seats & Review
Experience the dazzling lights of the Cotai Strip on a 1-hour open-top bus tour. Discover the best seats for fountain shows and easy booking tips.

Macao is a city that truly comes alive after dark.
Because the mega-resorts are spread quite far apart, I highly recommend
seeing them all at once on a 1-hour
open-top night bus tour.
Here is my complete review of the experience!
I'll cover everything from how to book and where to board,
to the absolute best seats on the bus.
Plus, I'll share a quick tip for scoring a ticket discount.
✔ Day-trippers wanting a quick overview of Macao
✔ Families with kids or older parents who want to sightsee comfortably
✔ Anyone wanting to see the dazzling hotel lights in just 1 hour
If this sounds like you, this tour is an absolute must!
1. Booking Your Macao Night Bus Tour

📌 Tour Departure Times
· 7:00 PM
· 8:30 PM
❗ In the winter months, sunset is around 5:50 PM,
so regardless of which time slot you choose,
you're guaranteed a spectacular night view.
(I'll share the exact boarding location below!)

📌 Ticket Price Comparison
Platform | Price | Booking Link |
Klook | ~$21 | |
KKDAY | ~$21 |
📌 Klook Promo Code 세시간전전용3000 *Get a ~$2 discount when booking for 2 or more people. |
I booked through Klook as it was slightly cheaper,
but both platforms offer the exact same tour route,
so just go with whichever is more convenient for you.
❗ Note: For New Year's Eve on December 31st,
there is a special countdown tour
that departs at 11:15 PM.
(As an exception, this NYE bus departs from the Galaxy Hotel.)

2. Where to Board the Bus

📌 Boarding Location
Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal - Arrival Hall Information Center
(The group meets here before walking to the parking lot.)
❗ While you only need to arrive 10 minutes before departure,
I highly recommend arriving 30-40 minutes early
if you want to snag the best seats (on the left side).
❗ It's super easy to get there using the free hotel shuttle buses.
When you reach the Information Center, it's very obvious
where the tour group is gathering.
Just look for the crowd!
They will check your reservation name, assign your bus, and then you just wait.
🍯Tip: There are restrooms right next to the
Information Center, so take advantage of them before boarding.
3. My Macao Night Tour Experience & Route

📌 The Tour Route
Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal → Pawnshop Street → Wynn Macao
→ Hotel Lisboa → Macau Tower → Sai Van Bridge
→ Wynn Palace → The Londoner → Studio City
→ The Parisian → The Venetian → Galaxy Hotel
❗ Drop-off: You can choose to get off at either
The Venetian or the Galaxy Hotel at the end.

🍯Tip: The absolute best seats are on the LEFT side of the bus.
Why? Because the bus stops at both Wynn Macao and Wynn Palace
so you can watch their famous fountain shows,
and the fountains are positioned on the left side of the bus!
(The driver times the route perfectly to catch the shows.)
(Trust me, everyone rushes to grab the left-side seats first.)

The bus seems custom-built for sightseeing,
with seating only available on the upper deck.
In the past, there used to be a canopy covering the top,
but perhaps to improve the panoramic views,
the canopy has been completely removed!
(This was my second time taking this tour, and I loved the open air! 😆)
Being able to sit back and enjoy the incredible skyline for an hour
without tiring your feet out is such a blessing.
I had such a great time previously that I brought my mom along this time.

First, you'll cruise through the Macau Peninsula near Senado Square,
and pass right underneath the soaring Macau Tower.
Due to the road layout, the bus loops around,
so you don't just see a landmark once—
you'll pass by key spots multiple times.
It's great because you get to see the architecture from different angles.

My personal favorite part is crossing the Sai Van Bridge.
The breeze feels amazing,
and looking down at the water from the top deck is so refreshing. 😌

But without a doubt, the neon-lit Cotai Strip,
where all the mega-resorts are clustered, steals the show.
Here is the stunning exterior of The Parisian.
The half-scale Eiffel Tower changes colors constantly,
and since the bus loops past it a few times,
you get to see it in several different dazzling hues.

Next up are The Londoner and Studio City!
Personally, I think Studio City is a place you must see at night.
It's incredibly striking in the dark.
The Golden Reel Ferris wheel stands out perfectly,
giving the whole building a majestic, cinematic aura.

The bus makes a brief stop right in front of Wynn Palace for the fountain show.
If I wanted to walk here from my hotel (The Venetian),
it would take a solid 10-15 minutes,
so having the bus pull up exactly as the show started was incredibly convenient.
The ground level gets super crowded during the performance,
but watching it from the elevated 2nd floor of the bus
gives you an unobstructed, VIP-level view! 😌
The evening weather was perfect—not too hot,
with a gentle breeze that made for a truly relaxing night.
Because it only takes one hour, it doesn't eat up your whole evening,
making it an incredibly efficient way to sightsee.
Above all, it's a massive hit with both older parents and young kids,
so I highly recommend it for families traveling together!
