M&S Souvenir Recommendations

One course you simply can't miss on your **London trip**
is definitely **souvenir shopping**, right?
Today, I'll introduce a **shopping list for souvenirs at M&S**, a supermarket in **London, UK**!
**M&S** is one of the UK's leading retail brands.
The M&S Food store I visited
feels more like a convenience store.
There are quite a few souvenirs you can only buy at M&S,
so I highly recommend stopping by at least once.
Let me introduce them one by one below!
1. All Butter Cookies
The first souvenir I'd like to introduce is **M&S's**
**most famous All Butter Cookies**!
The branch I visited had seven different flavors,
but I believe there are usually even more.
The price is 3.10 pounds, which is **~$4**, making them a premium cookie.
I recommend two flavors:
**White Chocolate Chunk** and
**Pistachio Almond**!
Both the white chocolate and pistachio flavors are
incredibly rich and delicious.
I could easily finish a whole bag with a cup of coffee.
Personally, between the two, the white chocolate had
a slightly more luxurious taste!
In addition to the two recommended flavors above,
there are also **Triple Chocolate, Hazelnut Chocolate,**
and **Lemon White Chocolate**, among others,
so choose according to your taste!
2. Shortbread
Next up is a famous British biscuit: **Shortbread**.
Because of its rustic appearance, I tried Shortbread
without any expectations, but its unique
savory buttery aroma made my eyes widen – it was that delicious!
As a butter cookie, it might feel a bit dry,
but it's the perfect cookie to enjoy with tea or coffee!
At M&S, I recommend the **deer-shaped Shortbread**.
There was also shortbread with chocolate chunks,
but we wanted to try the original,
so we picked up the Shortbread Fingers.
The price is 1.3 pounds, which is **~$2**, making it a great option for gifts.
However, since it's a butter cookie, it has a fair bit of weight.
Besides the deer-shaped shortbread,
there were also **other types of shortbread biscuits**.
The price is 1.9 pounds, which is about **~$2**!
The tree-shaped ones would also make a nice
Christmas souvenir to pick up.
3. Custard Creams
Next up is Custard Cream.
Our local guide recommended this to us during the tour,
saying it's a great item to share with colleagues at work.
Once I saw the price, I understood why they recommended it.
At just 0.6 pounds, or about ~$1,
it's such an affordable price that you could give one to everyone
and it wouldn't be a burden at all.
However, it does take up quite a bit of space and, more importantly, it's heavy,
so I couldn't buy too many.
The 0.6-pound ones came in two varieties: regular Custard Cream
and Bourbon Cream (chocolate).
Both are so smooth and sweet, they're the kind of cookies you just keep munching on like 'human feed'!
Following the regular Custard Cream, I also recommend the product above, which is covered with a layer of chocolate.
The price is 3.50 pounds, which is significantly more expensive,
but if you usually love chocolate, you'll definitely enjoy this flavor.
4. Other Snacks and Biscuits
After the Custard Cream, there were also many great value biscuits.
They come in butter, chocolate, and grain flavors, among others.
The price range is around 0.8 to 2 pounds,
so they're perfect for grabbing a few!
Next up are the Cheese Twists.
They cost 3.2 pounds, which is about ~$4.
I bought them because I love cheese-flavored snacks, and I was really happy with them!
The texture was fantastic—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, like a pastry—and they had a rich cheesy flavor.
The last snack is Jaffa Cakes!
They came in two sizes: small and large.
You get to taste the wonderful combination of orange and chocolate, so they're definitely worth trying at least once!
5. Tea Selection
M&S also has quite a diverse tea selection,
and the prices are quite reasonable too.
Earl Grey, English Breakfast,
Peppermint, Green Tea, Chamomile, Lemon & Ginger, and more!
The packaging is also neat, making them perfect for gifts.
Prices range from about 1.65 pounds to 3.75 pounds.
(Approximately ~$2 to ~$5)
I was deliberating between Earl Grey and English Breakfast and ultimately chose English Breakfast!
It contains about 50 bags and has a rich black tea flavor, so if you're a black tea lover,
it's perfect for a relaxed daily brew.
6. Jellies, Percy Pig
The next souvenir I want to introduce is the UK's
famous pig jelly, Percy Pig!
These jellies are super popular because of their chewy texture, and as a jelly lover myself,
I simply couldn't pass them by.
The price is 2.3 pounds, which is about ~$3, so
for jelly, the unit price is a bit on the expensive side.
The M&S I visited had Percy Pig
in a truly wide variety of flavors.
From original to veggie flavors, they had it all.
You can choose according to your taste,
but personally, I recommend the original flavor!
They even had a 'Merry Percymas' flavor
with packaging that reminds you of Christmas!
It's the perfect item for a Christmas souvenir.
7. Chocolate Bars
Finally, the souvenir I recommend is **mini chocolate bars**!
If you're worried about your luggage weight and find the
heavier snacks I introduced earlier a bit much,
then these are a great item to recommend.
They're around **~$1-2** each, which makes them perfect for
light gifts to friends and acquaintances!
When you travel in London, you'll spot M&S
stores very often on the streets.
I recommend stopping by towards the end of your trip
and enjoying shopping for the **7 souvenirs** I introduced,
picking whatever **suits your taste.**
Among the seven, I especially recommend grabbing
**All Butter Cookies** and **Shortbread**.
They were the two that got the best reactions
when I gifted them to my family!
