Your Guide to Wicked on TodayTix and Choosing the Best Seats

An unmissable highlight during your London trip
is, without a doubt, a musical!
While we might only catch them at certain times back home,
in London's West End, you can experience world-famous
musicals every single day!
From classics like The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, and Les Misérables,
there are so many incredible musicals to choose from.
We decided on Wicked, which we'd already enjoyed as a movie!
Today, I'll guide you through how to book tickets for London's Wicked musical
and how to pick the best seats!
First off, there are generally three main ways to book your Wicked tickets:
1. TodayTix
2. Official Website
3. Ticket Agencies
You can choose whichever option works best for you, and we went with TodayTix because it was more affordable than the official website.
✅Just a heads-up: on the Day Seat app or website,
at 10 AM UK time, you can sometimes snag unsold tickets for the same day
for a bargain price of around ~$35-41!
However, if you're a party of two or more,
there's a risk you might not be able to sit together.
Plus, we figured failing to secure tickets during our trip
would be too stressful, so we skipped this option!
Now, let me walk you through how to book
on TodayTix.
First, you'll need to search for and install the TodayTix app
from your app store.
Once you set your region to London (LON),
you'll see a list of all the musicals playing in London.
Click on "Wicked - Pick your seats,"
and you'll see the available dates, like this.
You'll notice that ticket prices vary by date.
Next, adjust the number of tickets at the bottom according to your group size,
then click on a date on the calendar to see the available seats for that day.
By the way, weekdays are generally less crowded and cheaper,
✅so we highly recommend seeing a show on a weekday if possible!
For Wicked, prices varied quite a bit, from 28 to 175 pounds, depending on the seat.
You can adjust the bar at the top to filter seats by price range, which was super convenient.
Since our main goal was simply to experience a musical,
we focused on finding more affordable seats.
(I'll explain how to pick your seats in more detail below!)
Next, click 'Go to checkout'
and you'll be whisked away to the payment screen!
Here, you'll want to pop in your name, email, and contact info.
Choose Apple Pay or your credit card
and be sure to select payment in Pounds (GBP).
Paying in GBP instead of Korean Won
will likely save you a bit on card fees.
Finally, just hit 'Pay securely'
and your payment will be good to go!
Once your payment goes through smoothly,
you'll instantly find your QR code right there in the app!
Just a heads-up: screenshots won't save your QR code,
so make sure to keep the app on your phone until your trip!
You'll also get a booking confirmation email sent to you,
so do keep an eye out for that!
Next up, I'm excited to share all about how to pick the perfect seats for Wicked.
When I was booking my Wicked tickets, the thing that stumped me the most was
'choosing the right seats'.
Truth be told, I hadn't even seen a musical back home in Korea,
so I was completely clueless about which seats would offer the best experience.
That's when I stumbled upon a super helpful website:

While it's a great place to book tickets, its real magic lies in
letting you check out reviews from real people for each seat,
and even see photos of the stage view from different spots!
First things first, head over to the SeatPlan website and search for 'Wicked'.
You'll see a screen similar to the image above.
On the calendar to the right, simply pick the date you're planning to go,
then click the 'Select' button.
You'll then be able to see all the available seats for your chosen date.
If you click on individual seats,
you'll get a sneak peek, just like in the photo on the right, showing you
the stage angle and how close (or far) you'll be from the action!
Of course, it's not quite the same as being there in person,
but it definitely helped me get a good feel for the best spot.
Just for your reference: Stage (that's the 무대),
Stalls (that's the ground floor), Dress Circle (the first elevated seating area)
— so keep these in mind when you're picking out your seats.
Both TodayTix and SeatPlan are
English-language websites, which means
some of you might find the booking process a little tricky.
Plus, individually checking every seat on SeatPlan
can take up quite a bit of your precious time.
For those who prefer a smoother, simpler approach, I'd highly recommend

If you simply choose between the Stalls (ground floor) or Dress Circle (first elevated section),
they'll automatically secure you a great seat from the available options,
making the whole booking process
