Since we knew we'd hardly be in the room during our Venice trip,
I specifically looked for a budget-friendly hotel that still offered great value.
At around ~$77 a night for two people, it was incredibly easy on the wallet.
Here is my honest review of our stay, booked directly through Trip.com.

It wasn't just the room rate that saved us money—the local restaurants around the hotel
were surprisingly affordable, making it fantastic for stretching our travel budget.
While it's a bit of a walk from Mestre Station, a direct bus to the main island
stops right outside, and the breakfast quality exceeded my expectations.

Room Vibe & Comfort

Walking into our room after check-in, the first thing I noticed
was how wonderfully warm it was.
I had read some reviews mentioning it could be chilly, but I actually
found myself looking for the thermostat to turn the heat down!

The bedding and bathroom were spotlessly clean—definitely above standard—
and the room was surprisingly spacious for European standards.

For a room under ~$100, I honestly didn't have high expectations,
but the cleanliness completely won me over.
My main requirements are a hot shower and a comfortable bed,
and the overall room condition delivered perfectly on both.

I loved the convenient charging ports right by the headboard,
along with individually adjustable reading lights.
It was perfect for winding down and organizing my things
with a soft glow after my son fell asleep.

Many hotels in the Venice Mestre area have a
strict, minimalist business-hotel vibe.
I actually appreciated the cozy table and chairs here—
it was the perfect spot to share a quick snack with my son.

The room comes equipped with a wardrobe, a safe,
and a mini-fridge.
Because it's such a budget-friendly option,
they don't provide complimentary bottled water.
Aside from the lack of free water, there were no inconveniences at all!

European bathrooms are notoriously tiny, so I kept my expectations low,
but I was pleasantly surprised by the decent amount of space here.

Finding a decent Venice hotel for under ~$150 a night in 2026 is tough,
so considering how clean it was, it's perfect for a short stay.
Honestly, I'd happily stay for two nights!
One quick note: the wall-mounted hair dryer is a bit quirky.
The airflow isn't weak, but it just didn't seem to dry my hair very fast!

They do provide basic toiletries,
so showering was completely hassle-free.
Most travelers bring their own preferred products to Europe anyway,
but I did use their body wash and it was perfectly fine.
A Surprisingly Diverse Breakfast

Given the low price point, I kept my breakfast expectations in check,
but wow, the spread was genuinely impressive!

You'd be surprised how many expensive European hotels
offer a lackluster, limited breakfast.
But here, they had a full selection of breads, desserts, hot foods, and cold cuts.

Personally, I'm a simple traveler—give me scrambled eggs and crispy bacon,
and I'm a happy camper. Both were delicious!

From sweet treats to fresh fruit, LH Hotel Sirio Venice
really covers all the bases.
Considering our two-person stay was under ~$100,
this breakfast felt like an absolute steal.

Throughout our Italy trip, we practically lived on
the fresh fruit juice machines at hotels.
They had three different juice options here,
and my son and I definitely got our fill! Haha.

Paired with a solid cup of coffee, it was the perfect fuel for the day!
I had read some reviews complaining about staff "staring" uncomfortably,
but whenever I made eye contact, they offered a warm smile.
I think because they are incredibly quick to clear empty plates,
their attentiveness might have just been misinterpreted.
Just my two cents! :)
Overall, I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming!
Is the Location Good for Travelers?

LH Hotel Sirio Venice is about a 20-minute walk
(roughly a mile) from Mestre Station.
That might sound a bit far at first, but I actually
enjoyed the stroll as a bit of light exercise.
More importantly, when returning from the main island of Venice, the direct bus
drops you off right in front of the hotel in under 20 minutes.

While there are plenty of budget hotels right next to Mestre Station,
the food prices around this specific neighborhood are significantly lower.
Dining out in Italy can eat up your budget quickly with current exchange rates,
but the local pizzerias and even a nearby Chinese restaurant offered fantastic prices.
If you're heading to Venice and want to save your hard-earned cash
without sacrificing comfort, this hotel is a brilliant choice.
During our stay, I noticed a lot of Western tourists
and locals, giving it an authentic, off-the-beaten-path feel.
That wraps up my honest, self-funded review of our ~$77/night
stay at LH Hotel Sirio Venice! :)
