1-Night Stay Near Rome Fiumicino Airport B&B Hotel Fiumicino: Budget-Friendly & Convenient Review All rights reserved, Global Explorer |

Arriving in Rome late at night? We were in the exact same boat.
Since we were catching a flight down to Southern Italy the very next day,
we just needed a simple, comfortable place to crash near the airport
without breaking the bank.
If you have a similar itinerary,
or if you're landing late and just need a bed for the night,
staying near the airport is definitely the smartest move.

While hunting for the best value layover stay,
I stumbled upon a hidden gem that checked all the boxes:
incredibly affordable, excellent service, and right across from a massive supermarket.
Enter the B&B Hotel Roma Fiumicino Fiera 2.
Spoiler alert:
Booking this place was an absolute game-changer for our trip.
For anyone looking for a reliable transit hotel near FCO,
let me break down my honest review
and show you how to snag the lowest rate.
Why We Chose B&B Hotel Fiera 2

Location-wise, the B&B Hotel Fiera 2 is
situated just a 15-minute drive
from Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport.
Since getting from the airport to central Rome takes about an hour,
this spot is absolutely perfect
for late-night arrivals or early-morning departures!
(Fun fact: there really aren't any decent hotels closer than this).

The price was the biggest shocker—at just ~$80 per night,
it felt almost too good to be true. I honestly wondered if the condition would be subpar.
But I was pleasantly surprised!
It was incredibly clean, modern,
and exactly what you need for a layover.
I booked here with an automatic 4% discount.

The Stay Experience

We checked in around 6:00 PM
after grabbing an airport taxi from FCO.
While the hotel itself isn't a luxurious, over-the-top resort,
its location is unbeatable—especially with a sprawling
local shopping mall right on its doorstep!

Check-in was an absolute breeze.
Before heading to our room, the front desk staff helped us
book an airport shuttle for the next morning.
They run very early in the morning,
and it's significantly cheaper than a taxi, so definitely use it!
(More on this awesome shuttle later).

The room itself was exactly what you want for a quick layover:
neat, tidy, and surprisingly spacious.
The housekeeping was spotless, the AC blew ice-cold,
the bedding was crisp, and the Wi-Fi was blazing fast.
Best of all, the room was large enough to fully open our suitcases!
The bathroom was equally impressive and sparkling clean.
It had fantastic water pressure and plenty of hot water.
They even provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash,
which is a huge step up from many budget transit hotels!
⬇️

If I had to pick the absolute best feature of this hotel,
it would be the surrounding amenities.
Literally a one-minute walk from the front doors,
you'll find a massive shopping complex packed with
restaurants and a huge local supermarket.
When you arrive late, the last thing you want to worry about is,
"Where do we eat?" or "Where can we buy bottled water?"
This location eliminates all that stress.
We dropped our bags, walked right over,
grabbed a quick dinner, and stocked up on water
and travel essentials. It was incredibly convenient.

Pro tip: this local supermarket turned out to have the
absolute lowest prices we found in all of Italy for
Marvis toothpaste, balsamic vinegar, and rose water!
Definitely leave some room in your bag and stock up here.
The Airport Shuttle

Remember that airport shuttle we booked at check-in?
It costs just 6 euros (~$6.50) per person.
Given the low price, I was expecting a rundown minibus.
I was completely blown away when a
massive, sleek luxury van pulled up!
It felt like we had booked a private VIP transfer.
It was just the two of us riding in style
all the way to the airport!
There was tons of room for our luggage, and the seats were so plush.
Considering how expensive and stressful booking a taxi can be,
this 6-euro shuttle is an absolute no-brainer.

The B&B Hotel Roma Fiumicino Fiera 2 hits the trifecta:
unbeatable price, prime location, and fantastic amenities.
It is hands down the ultimate budget-friendly layover hotel.
If you're looking for a one-night stay near FCO,
this should be at the very top of your list.
With rates hovering around ~$80 a night,
it's a total steal for your first or last night in Rome.
Don't miss out on this hidden gem!
