As you head out towards Jeonju Gaeksa,

you might have seen a large, vibrant green building.

Before, I didn't give it a second thought,

but 'Ah Sso Gong'

It's a place I discovered thanks to a DVD Player!

And it's none other than Goodwill Store!

Where donations create job opportunities

for people with disabilities.

I used to think Arumdaun Store (Beautiful Store) was the only one of its kind,

but there's also Goodwill Store!

Among them, the Goodwill Store Jeonju Branch

is a place with a proud 12-year history, having opened its doors in 2014 as the 3rd branch

following the first opening in Seoul by Miral Welfare Foundation in 2011.

With the motto 'Opportunity, Not Charity!',

it's a non-profit organization supporting the independence of people with disabilities.

They don't just receive donations and sell them;

they create opportunities for people to work,

helping them live with pride.

Every single item collected through donations

is linked to job training and employment,

contributing to richer, more meaningful lives.

It's huge, spanning from the 1st to the 3rd floor!

On the 1st floor, they even run a cafe

and sell food items!

They literally have everything but what's not there! 😉

This adorable Psyduck plushie is only ~$1!

There are also plushies like 'Tongtong Ssahuru' and other whatnot...

Most plushies range from ~$1 to ~$1.

There were quite a few Pokémon plushies too!

ARMYs who bought the Xexymix gym ball, close your eyes...

I almost bought one myself,

but here it's on sale for just ~$4!

They also sell tested coffee machines

and a variety of kitchenware,

making it a great spot for students or those living alone to casually browse.

Idol album donations!

Goodwill Store accepts donations not just from corporations,

but also from individuals.

However, judging by the stock quantity, these particular items seemed to be corporate donations.

Sometimes items even go on sale from their already great prices!

Each branch has different events and slightly different prices, so if you add your favorite store on KakaoTalk, you can get notifications about their specific promotions. Keep that in mind!

To be honest, my real reason for visiting Goodwill Store was...

Dynamite DVD Writer

BTS Merchandise

News broke on Twitter that BTS merchandise had appeared at Goodwill Store...

And the DVD Writer, which used to sell for quite a high price, was going for just ~$4!

Since it was merchandise and Goodwill is a place for 'good consumption' (charitable shopping),

ARMYs went wild!

But what is this...?

I understand that prices vary by store, but as this 'craze' started,

some stores in Seoul began to raise their prices.

ARMYs went into a 'great panic' too...

There were mixed opinions: 'It's for a good cause,'

and 'But this is too much.'

Even if the intentions are good,

I don't think it's right to suddenly raise the price of the same item

overnight without any prior notice...

Of course, I understand that the stores might have been perplexed and embarrassed by the sudden surge in interest.

It would have been better if the headquarters had given clearer guidelines.

That's my only regret, hehe.

without even visiting a store.

Please check the precautions for item donation...

After collection, you can even receive income tax deduction details

via KakaoTalk notification!

Parcel collection is available free of charge.

Please only donate items that are in good condition.

(No trash donations, have some conscience!)

After visiting Goodwill Store,
