Recently, before embarking on my trip to Phu Quoc, I used the Matina Lounge East Wing at Incheon Airport.

The Matina Lounge is operated by Walkerhill, renowned for its delicious food and wide variety of beverages.

This time, I got in without a separate admission fee, thanks to a lounge pass I received after meeting the previous month's spending requirements with my Shinhan SOL Travel Card.

If you're traveling with companions who don't have free access, I've also put together ways to get in cheaper than buying at the door, so make sure to check them out!

I'll cover everything from the Matina Lounge's location and operating hours at Incheon (인천) to its food menu, free lounge card options, and how to purchase discounted passes!

1. Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Matina Lounge Location and Operating Hours

The Matina Lounge East Wing is located on the 3rd floor of Incheon Airport Terminal 1, opposite Gate 11, and is open from 6 AM to 10 PM.

First, find boarding gate 11 on the 3rd floor. Opposite the gate, head up to the 4th floor where the TRANSIT HOTEL and Matina Lounge are located, and you'll see the lounge entrance right away.

2. Incheon Airport Lounge Pass Prices, Free Card Options, and Discount Purchase Tips

I used my **Shinhan SOL Travel Card** to meet the previous month's spending requirements and received a lounge pass benefit, allowing me to use the lounge for free.

The SOL Travel lounge benefit works by registering your card on The Lounge app and then issuing a pass to use.

The pass is valid for 24 hours after issuance, and your name on the boarding pass must match the name registered on The Lounge app to gain entry.

Since free benefits from lounge cards usually only apply to the cardholder, it's much cheaper for companions without free access to purchase discounted online passes in advance rather than buying them at the counter.

Among online platforms, MyRealTrip offered the biggest discount. If you're planning to use a lounge, I recommend purchasing your pass online in advance!

3. Matina Lounge East Wing Menu

Martina Lounge is operated by Walkerhill (워커힐),

so it's famous for its delicious food and wide variety of beverages.

With quite a lot of options, from salads to various other dishes,

the choices were extensive, which was awesome!

On the upper section, there were small bottled

yogurts available.

In the warm dishes section, there was fried rice and pasta,

Dakgangjeong (닭강정), Gimmari (김말이) and various fried items,

Sundae (순대), and Tteokbokki (떡볶이) were also available.

Among the dishes I ate that day,

Jeyuk-bokkeum (제육볶음) was especially delicious!

It was just the right amount of spicy and perfectly seasoned.

Bibimbap (비빔밥) ingredients,

Kimchi (김치), Jangajji (장아찌), and even Flatfish Seaweed Soup (가자미 미역국)!

For those who want to enjoy a Korean meal before departure,

these were diverse menu items you could savor.

I took a picture of my plate, filled with selections I'd personally chosen.

From salad and pasta to fried rice,

fried items, and Sundae, I piled up a bit of everything.

I also brought and ate some Miyeok-guk (미역국).

I also put Tteokbokki in a small separate bowl.

Looking at the photos again,

I realized I ate more varieties than I thought!

Even spicy Jin Ramen (진라면) and Twigim Udon (튀김우동) cup noodles!

4. Alcohol, Beverages, and Dessert Corner

What stayed in my memory along with the Jeyuk-bokkeum was the draft beer!

You place the glass onto the stand,

and beer fills up from the bottom.

Once it's full and gleaming,

you simply twist and lift the cup to take it out!

There were coffee machines and soda dispensers,

and the refrigerator also contained canned beverages.

Besides draft beer, wine was also available.

I also browsed the bread, small desserts, and fruit corners.

Besides pineapple, grapefruit, and Shine Muscat, the fruit selection also included

dragon fruit and rambutan!

There was also ice cream in the freezer.

I was too full to eat ice cream, but

I was quite satisfied with the diverse dessert options available. Haha

5. Shower Room / Massage Chairs / PC Printer

You need to apply at the information desk to use the shower room.

Operating hours are from 7 AM to 8 PM!

(Last entry at 7:30 PM,

remember to bring your passport and inquire at the desk!)

I didn't use it myself this time, but

there were a total of 3 shower stalls, and

basic amenities like shampoo, body wash, towels, and hair dryers

are said to be provided!

If a massage chair is free,

you can use it without a separate application, just find the right timing.

I used it for a short while and felt my fatigue ease a bit! 😁

The restrooms were located in the inner area,

and a PC and printer were available next to the entrance.

For those who urgently need to print something,

it's a useful tip that you can use them in the lounge! Haha

6. Matina Lounge (마티나라운지) East vs. West Wing: Key Differences

The East Wing is near Gate 11, and the West Wing is near Gate 43.

Seating is listed as 134 seats for the East Wing and 102 seats for the West Wing,

and the number of food items seems similar between the East and West Wings.

However, shower facilities are only available in the East Wing!

Last year, when I used the West Wing,

the wait was quite long, but this time, my visit to the East Wing

I got in without waiting, even on a weekday evening.

Crowd levels vary depending on the time of your visit, so

if you need shower facilities, choose the East Wing,

otherwise,

it's probably best to consider the one closest to your boarding gate first!

If you're departing from near Gate 11 in Terminal 1 of Incheon Airport (인천공항),

I recommend the Matina Lounge East Wing, which offers a variety of food, shower facilities, and even massage chairs! 😁

the on-site admission price can be quite different,
