03. Matina Lounge Location and Interior

The Matina Lounge (마티나라운지) is located on the 4th floor of the duty-free zone,
across from Gate 252.
You'll need to pass through immigration and enter the duty-free area, then head up to the 4th floor to find it.
Before entering the lounge, you'll need to show your boarding pass and passport.
I went with an affiliate benefit, so I pre-downloaded my lounge pass on The Lounge app.

The Matina Lounge at Terminal 2 boasts a total capacity of 264 seats,
with a variety of seating options, including single, two-person, and even four-person tables.

I was traveling solo, so I settled into a single seat,
and with departure/delay times displayed for each flight,
I could relax and eat my meal without any rush!

Just a heads-up, the Matina Lounge is almost always busy, no matter when you visit.
When I arrived, the lounge was completely full,
and I had to wait for about 15 minutes before I could enter.
It seems that lounge usage has increased lately,
probably due to the rise in credit cards offering lounge access.
If you're planning to visit the lounge,
I highly recommend coming with plenty of time to spare, anticipating a potential wait.
04. My Review

The menu at Matina Lounge changes regularly.
When I visited, the lineup was impressive, ranging from appetizers to hot dishes,
and even made-to-order specialties.
Category | Menu |
🥗 Salads | Regular Salad, Sweet Potato Salad, Shrimp Salad, Jamón Salad |
🍳 Hot Dishes | Sweet Potatoes, Sausages, Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Deodeok Bulgogi (더덕불고기), Tomato Pasta, Gimmari (김말이), French Fries, etc. |
🍚 Made-to-Order | Cockle Bibimbap (꼬막비빔밥) (Spicy seasoned cockles, watercress, bean sprouts, pickled radish, mixed vegetables, shredded seaweed) |
🍞 Desserts | Bread, Cakes, Cookies, Fruits, etc. |
🍜 Cup Noodles | Jin Ramen, Jjajang Beombuk (짜장범벅) |

For a made-to-order dish, they offer Cockle Bibimbap.
Spicy seasoned cockles, watercress, bean sprouts, pickled radish, mixed vegetables,
and shredded seaweed are all prepared,
so you can mix it all up exactly to your liking.

Since international travelers are the main guests,
the menu is wonderfully diverse, featuring everything from Korean to Western dishes,
and the bread, dessert, and fruit selections are equally impressive.

For cup noodles, you have two choices: Jin Ramen and Jjajang Beombuk.
Even though I was quite full, thinking of it as my last Korean meal before flying,
I chose the Jjajang Beombuk.
Maybe it was just the mood, but
it tasted even better than usual! Haha.
Perhaps there's just something extra special about eating cup noodles at the airport?!

Overall, my satisfaction with the Terminal 2 Matina Lounge (2터미널 마티나 라운지)
was excellent.
Especially, if I had paid the full price, it might have felt a bit wasteful,
but since I ate for free thanks to card benefits, it was even better!
