When flying LCCs, ordering in-flight meals can be a bit awkward,
and for mid-range routes like to Vietnam, I love popping into a lounge to relax, grab a meal,
and charge my devices comfortably!
I've always frequented the Matina Lounge, but this time, for an early morning flight,
I decided to try the 24-hour Sky Hub Lounge for the first time—and wow, it was surprisingly good!
Below, I'll share all the details on how to purchase tickets, the food, and more!
Sky Hub Location and Opening Hours
Both Sky Hub and Matina lounges
are located in both the East and West wings of Incheon Airport Terminal 1.
West Wing: Near Gate 42
East Wing: Near Gate 11
It's best to check your boarding gate and head to the closest lounge,
to make your journey to the plane more convenient later!

The real advantage of Sky Hub is that it operates 24 hours a day!
The Matina Lounge, on the other hand, opens at 6 AM,
so if you have an 8 AM or 9 AM flight, it might feel a bit rushed.
While it's a slight shame that showers aren't available,
for morning flights, you usually don't need to shower much,
so I didn't see it as a major issue.

When you get near your gate, you'll find clear signs directing you to the 2nd floor!
The Sky Hub is located a bit further inside.

I visited the Sky Hub East Wing Lounge, and there's a shower facility across the way. If you want to shower early in the morning,
you can use it for a fee. It's a bit cheaper if you're using the lounge,
so keep that in mind! :)
Incheon Airport Lounge Prices
Airport lounges are honestly fantastic for relaxing before a flight,
but going at full price? Not so much... they can be quite expensive!

That's why it's great to use an affiliated credit card or
purchase your entry ticket in advance!
If you don't travel frequently, you might not have a credit card
that grants lounge access.
The great thing is, just by purchasing in advance, you can save around 40% off the regular price, and you can even buy it on the same day!

Considering the regular price is around ~$45, getting a discount of over 40% means
it's definitely worth buying in advance, right?
Sky Hub Lounge Review
What I noticed upon entering was, "Oh, it's more pleasant than I expected!"
Matina is always bustling and requires waiting,
which sometimes feels tiring before even getting in.
Sky Hub, on the other hand, felt a bit more relaxed?

They were even hosting an 'Eight Provinces Food Festival,' so the food selection was incredibly diverse,
and personally, I found most of it delicious!

The single seats here are exceptionally well-arranged, so for solo travelers,
I have a feeling Sky Hub might just be a better fit!

It seemed like most of the food here was provided by Pulmuone,
and they had bottled water, simple beverages,
and even delightful bite-sized desserts perfect for a quick treat!

If alcoholic beverages are important to you, I highly recommend Sky Hub!
They had Ilpoom Jinro, wine, Makgeolli, highball, and
even Kelly draft beer – quite an impressive variety of drinks!

For those who prefer not to drink alcohol, there were plenty of juices and sodas,
and a coffee machine was also available for a warm pick-me-up.

For those who prefer a lighter meal, salads were on offer,
and they even had yogurt, perfect for a fresh morning start!

For more substantial meal options, they had:
fried rice, Dakgangjeong (sweet and spicy fried chicken), Jeyuk (spicy stir-fried pork), flat dumplings, Takoyaki,
fried snacks, spicy fish cakes, and even various soups!
I tried the spicy beef and radish soup, and it was wonderfully rich and spicy,
which was absolutely perfect for me as a big fan of Korean food.
I had a hearty meal with rice and then practically 'crashed' on the plane, haha!

For dessert lovers, there were sandwiches, waffles, and various cookies,
plus a whole range of other bakery items!
They even had three different types of cereal.
There was one cookie in particular, with peanut butter inside,
that my friend said was so delicious they went back for seconds!

When it comes to ramyeon, they offered four varieties, which is more diverse than Matina:
Yukgaejang, Kimchi Sabalmyun, Shin Ramyun, and even Jjapaghetti!
Personally, just looking at the sheer number of options,
Sky Hub felt like it had a slightly larger selection.
Honestly, the taste at both was pretty good, though, haha!

Personally, LCC (Low-Cost Carrier) in-flight meals don't always hit the spot for me,
so having a hearty breakfast before a 5-hour flight
was just perfect – filling and satisfying! 😉
Oh, and by the way, the pumpkin soup was absolutely amazing!!

Matina boasts those comfy massage chairs for sitting,
but over here, they've got full-on massage beds where you can completely stretch out!
To be honest, it wasn't about deep tissue invigoration, but more about gentle relaxation from your neck all the way down your spine.
Still, the cozy warmth made it the perfect spot to just lie back, close your eyes, and truly unwind for a bit.
I'd always vaguely heard that Matina had superior facilities,
so it was my go-to. But this time, for the first time ever,
I decided to try Sky Hub, and wow, I was genuinely impressed! The 24-hour operation,
the amazing variety of food, and the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere all won me over!
If you're thinking of grabbing a lounge pass, sure, you can buy one on the same day,
but here's a tip: you can often snag a much better deal if you purchase it in advance! Happy travels!
