One of the biggest decisions before embarking on an international adventure is figuring out the best way to get to the airport.
For families, especially with kids in tow, driving can often be the most convenient option. As a parent, I found that taking my own car and utilizing the Incheon Airport parking, particularly with the multi-child family discount (a local benefit for Korean nationals), actually worked out cheaper than taking an airport bus for four people.
Today, I'll share my firsthand experience using the Incheon Airport Terminal 2 Reserved Parking. I'll cover everything from how to use it, the parking fees, details on the multi-child discount, and important tips for weekend use.
Plus, for those preferring public transport, I'll also introduce how to get discounted tickets for the AREX Express Train, one of the most comfortable ways to travel from Seoul to Incheon Airport!

If you're traveling during school holidays or peak vacation periods, you might worry about finding a parking spot at the airport. Trust me, it's a huge relief to book in advance, just like I did!

I parked for a total of 4 days and 14 hours, which came out to ~$29. With the 50% multi-child discount, I only paid ~$14.
Ultimately, it was cheaper than the airport bus fare for two adults! 👍
Weekend Experience & How to Catch the Shuttle Bus

This time, I reserved a spot in parking zone B. If you're heading to the Terminal 2 reserved parking on a weekend, make sure to allow plenty of extra travel time!
It seemed that traffic was quite heavy on weekends, possibly due to vehicles heading to Inspire Resort, which shares some routes.

Once you've parked, you'll see the shuttle bus stop near the center of the parking lot.

From here, you'll take Airport Bus 02.

Shuttle Bus Operation
24-hour service (with intervals of 9-18 minutes)
Actual Travel Time
I departed the parking lot at 3:57 PM and arrived at Terminal 2 at 4:17 PM, making the journey approximately 20 minutes. Keep this in mind for your schedule!

Drop-off and Return Pick-up Location
Terminal 2, 1st floor, in front of Gate 5 (look for signs indicating the Long-Term Parking Shuttle)
When you return from your trip and need to get back to the parking lot, you'll catch the shuttle from this exact same spot.

If you're opting for public transportation from Seoul to Incheon Airport instead of driving, I highly recommend the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) Direct Train.
This premium train provides a fast and safe non-stop connection between Seoul Station and Incheon International Airport. While the All-Stop Train takes longer and doesn't offer assigned seats, the Express Train truly makes the start and end of your journey comfortable and hassle-free.
