Gangneung, a city renowned for its coffee culture.
While Gangneung boasts its famous coffee street and countless renowned coffee shops, I decided to check out Husk Mill – a massive cafe, much like the popular large-scale cafes you'd find in Paju, offering a delightful array of bakeries and beverages all under one roof!
Address: 1-3F, 20-8 Nanseolheon-ro 219beon-gil, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do
Operating Hours: Daily 09:00 - 22:30
Last Order: 22:00
Phone Number: 0507-1322-1405

Cafe Exterior

While there's a generous parking lot out front, it seemed barely enough for a place of this scale – a testament to its popularity!
Cars were actually queuing up to get in and out!

Even the exterior was charmingly adorned with lovely details.
And the sheer scale of the building itself was truly impressive.

See those crowds lining up to place their orders? Clearly a popular spot!
This is your undeniable proof that it's a bonafide hot spot in Gangneung.

There were around eight staff members just at the counter, which gives you an idea of the volume of customers they handle!

The first floor featured a lovely garden-like display in the center, with ample seating arranged on both sides.
The incredibly high ceilings throughout gave the entire space a wonderfully airy and refreshing ambiance.

They offered a diverse range of menu items, and since I visited during the summer, many customers were, understandably, making Patbingsu their top choice!
A Delectable Array of Bakery Delights

Fresh fruits and enticing slices of cake are the first things that beautifully catch your eye.

They really seemed to expertly incorporate fresh fruits into their cakes.

And the selection of breads was incredibly diverse too!

So, what kind of bread catches your eye the most?

If you're visiting with kids, be warned – you'll almost certainly have to get them a treat or two!

Here's the panoramic view of the cafe, as seen from the second floor.

Even on the second floor, with its ample tables and seating on both spacious sides, most spots were completely packed!

Customers kept streaming in, and it felt like there weren't enough seats to go around.
Definitely a hot spot, no doubt about it!

While the flavors weren't exceptionally mind-blowing, it was a wonderfully cool place with a great atmosphere.

Right across the street, you'll find Wondersky, an indoor adventure park that's perfect for a visit with the kids!
Husk Mill truly impressed as a vast space, reminiscent of Paju's mega-cafes, boasting a sophisticated interior.
The convenience of enjoying a wide array of baked goods, desserts, and drinks all under one roof was a big plus.
Despite the rather spacious parking area, it was still insufficient for the crowds, truly cementing its status as a top hot spot in Gangneung.
In the summer, Patbingsu (shaved ice with red beans) was a particularly popular item.
With Wondersky, an indoor adventure park, just nearby, it makes for an excellent itinerary addition for families.
